Mass incarceration is also a incredibly awful issue and prison reform is something that needs to happen in america. That said, that comment felt like the equivalent of saying I can't care about homelessnes because thousands of people are starving in north korea.

The elementary school was across the street from the mall. The incident at the mall was related to a parole violation and not the earlier shooting. The situation has not come up over the scanner for a while, so it seems pretty calm, although I did not hear a code 4 issued.
