The police reported the name over the scanner ~2-3 hours ago :goodjob:
NBC is saying that they got it from "other news agencies"
anybody can buy a car too, not sure what you're getting at
The point is if everyone was licensed and held accountable for their firearm, you probably wouldn't have a crate full of firearms hopping from Nevada into California. Or at the very least people would be less willing to straw purchase for criminals.
did you just do the same thing you accused fox news of lmao
googling sayeed farooq actually says that he was the suspect at least 7 hours ago, seems to still be then

people buy cars out of state and for other people all the time
Just because the police mentioned the name to one another doesn't mean it turned out to be him. I suppose they don't want to describe or name the suspects before they have been properly and fully identified.

Thats what they broke into and shot at random people.
THAT.

Same type of party, not necessarily this one!!!!!!
people buy cars out of state and for other people all the time
So you are saying that requiring everyone who owns or wants to own a firearm be trained and licensed would do nothing, absolutely nothing? You may be right, I am speculating, but what would you do to reduce the crime rate? I like guns as much as the next bubba but I would be lying if people getting shot to shit wasn't an issue. I am merely giving a potential solution.

the post where you jumped to a conclusion based on the narrative you want to promote, yes, I saw

Unfortunately, it seems the evidence is piling up it was probably an islamic attack, but it could still be the "workplace dispute" theory.
The address that they are searching with EOD belongs to the name mentioned. So it seems pretty credible at this point.
Unfortunately, it seems the evidence is piling up it was probably an islamic attack.
what else is there so far, besides the name of what may or may not be a suspect?
god I hope this doesn't spiral out of control like literally every other hot button topic of the last x years, where things initially seem to be one thing, but later on evidence comes out and the whole story takes a 180

Oh boy here we go
But in many states any joe shmoe can walk in and out with a firearm as long as they are over 18. I am guessing that some of these criminals in states like NY and CA probably got theirs from another state.
It's illegal to buy a gun in a different state without going through an FFL in your state, which has to do a background check. You can't go into a gun store in Nevada and buy a gun that's illegal in California if you are a resident of California.

I don't buy it, if it was a terrorist attack, wouldn't they have just showed up randomly and started shooting?
Why would a terrorist show up before the attack and argue with the people there and then leave, get his friends and come back, instead of just showing up and killing them all?

that was yesterday
I would fight back as will most sane gun owners. Maybe not with violence but definitely with legal action. Criminals will just go lol have fun with that
Are you one of those "just comply with the police if you don't want to get shot" people by chance?

Not confirmed that the arguing person was the same as someone involved in shooting. May have been coincidence.

Don't comply with the police, got it.

Refer to - The point is if everyone was licensed and held accountable for their firearm, you probably wouldn't have a crate full of firearms hopping from Nevada into California. Or at the very least people would be less willing to straw purchase for criminals knowing that they are in the system.
Also, I've been to many stores out of state where they haven't even checked my license but just sold me ammo and would have sold me a firearm anyway. But that is another discussion.
I speculate that the perpetrators might have been upset about something. Maybe.

I would say the date is irrelevant, because they literally shot up a center for people with disabilities.

Apparently he was mentioned on the scanner almost immediately after reports of the shooting began, and an NYT reporter has suggested that he may have been an employee based on this, but they may have removed it.
It's also possible that Syed is the third suspect based on this dispute, and not one of the ones confirmed dead. At this point I kind of hope he was involved because it would suck to have another Boston Bomber situation where an innocent person's name is smeared in the media.
wouldn't be surprised if they ran because they wanted to strike again considering the level of armament

the christmas party is not why they attacked, if it were they would have attacked on the day it actually happened
Pretty sure other people have worn body armor during shootings before, but I can't cite any sources.
Why wouldn't you wear it if you planned on shooting up a place? It's probably not even hard to get.

You're right. He probably got into an argument with his Co workers, went home, dressed up in 'tactical' gear, grabbed his assault rifle, made a few pipe bombs, planned an escape strategy, and convinced his buddy and girlfriend to join him in shooting up the place. Most likely scenario here.
Lets just leave it to the authorities right now to see what the Hell is going on.
Like they just literally got done capturing a few suspects and gunning down one that was armed just before the sun set in California.

There is so many "what if's" here were better off waiting till tommorow, no point in bickering about who figured it out first or speculating that type of stuff.
I think pointless speculation is more harmful than talking about gun legislation right after a shooting, to be honest.
