Mongoids are already screaming 'FAKE'. Fuckin' retards I swear, couldn't they have waited till' the events are over?
I have to assume that this is a troll. The "Math" bullshit with dates and random facts they pull is just too stupid to be real.
People are fucking dying AT THIS VERY MOMENT and your using it to push your shitty agenda.
I think its fine to push an agenda that would help end this regular occurrence.
IIRC the background check measure was a part of that bill that didn't make it after Newtown, but that one only required checks when buying mote than one firearm per transaction. It died and Democrats had no interest reviving it so good luck with that one
It also made them mandatory. My solution has them optional, but you're subject to criminal consequences if you neglected to verify the buyer could own it legally. This still allows transfers between trusted friends and family to go on unhindered and would be a measure I think most gun owners could swallow, including myself.
It's just discussion regarding the topic at hand. For once it's pretty calm. There's not much else to discuss, if you really want a live feed of just information on the occurrences go watch a live feed.
But its irrelevant. We know nothing of how the firearms used in this attack where even acquired. The debaters are simply using the emotionally charged environment to push the same shitty arguments. Both sides of the debate
Also can we fucking stop with the gun debate? People are fucking dying AT THIS VERY MOMENT and you guys are using it to push your shitty agendas.
These posts are getting annoying. Stop telling people not to post, especially when the discussion is entirely civil and relevant.
Also can we fucking stop with the gun debate? People are fucking dying AT THIS VERY MOMENT and your using it to push your shitty agenda.
Yeah cause wanting to prevent incidents like this is a shitty agenda.
On the topic of conspiracy bullshit and weird coincidences, someone on 4chan pointed this out: Time to whip out the tinfoil hats.
These posts are getting annoying. Stop telling people not to post, especially when the discussion is entirely civil and relevant.
We don't know if it's relevant at all lmao
I would then hire less rude criminologists. Those sound like good measures. Gold star for you. edit: being unironic here, I know very little about guns and haven't really heard of what you're suggesting. But whatever stops the senseless killing would be good.
So you just want to hear what you want to hear? That's not helpful
I think its fine to push an agenda that would help end this regular occurrence.
Theres a time and a place for everything. The gun debate most certainly shouldnt be happening when people are still fucking dying
We don't know if it's relevant at all lmao
We don't know if it's not relevant?
So you just want to hear what you want to hear? That's not helpful
No? Saying it's not worth bothering with X thing because Y thing is so much worse is silly though. Must we only care about what is the worst at any given time?
We don't know if it's relevant at all lmao
If it isn't relevant, then... boo-hoo, some people with different opinions were, for once, able to have a civil discussion regarding an emotionally charged topic. We can fine tune the discussion when more details are available.
Yeah cause wanting to prevent incidents like this is a shitty agenda.
Im talking about both sides of the argument.
On the topic of conspiracy bullshit and weird coincidences, someone on 4chan pointed this out: Time to whip out the tinfoil hats.
A band from Cali did a song about a city not far from where they are from, color me shocked This could still not be ISIS, for all we know its Sovereign Citizens, etc
Theres a time and a place for everything. The gun debate most certainly shouldnt be happening when people are still fucking dying
People are dying continuously now. There is never not a shooting going on in America. If now is not the time then there will never be a time again.
We don't know if it's relevant at all lmao
I'd argue guns are highly relevant to news about mass shootings. If you disagree you can report the posts to someone with actual power.
Theres a time and a place for everything. The gun debate most certainly shouldnt be happening when people are still fucking dying
What difference does it make? If we wait for people do stop dying from guns we'll never be able to talk about the issue.
A band from Cali did a song about a city not far from where they are from, color me shocked This could still not be ISIS, for all we know its Sovereign Citizens, etc
People are freaking out since this is the band whose concert got shot up at the Bataclan in Paris during the terrorist attacks there a few weeks ago.
What difference does it make? If we wait for people do stop dying from guns we'll never be able to talk about the issue.
And what if you find out later it wasn't guns bought in the US, etc, This isn't the time for a gun debate, at all, we have NO IDEA what is 100% going on yet.
These posts are getting annoying. Stop telling people not to post, especially when the discussion is entirely civil and relevant.
The gun control debate is entirely irrelevant. We dont know the legality of the firearms. If they're illegal firearms then arguing about the control of legal firearms is irrelevant. How about instead of dragging the same tired debate innto this thread we actually discuss the topic
Theres a time and a place for everything. The gun debate most certainly shouldnt be happening when people are still fucking dying
There are shootings everyday and mass media shooting media events every 2-3 weeks. This happens in no other developed country.
People are freaking out since this is the band whose concert got shot up at the Bataclan in Paris during the terrorist attacks there a few weeks ago.
Its a coincidence and basing a theory off that is stupid.
The gun control debate is entirely irrelevant. We dont know the legality of the firearms. If they're illegal firearms then arguing about the control of legal firearms is irrelevant. How about instead of dragging the same tired debate innto this thread we actually discuss the topic
America doesn't have locked borders between states. State laws are irrelevant. Also, people can sell illegal guns to eachother legally anyway.
People are freaking out since this is the band whose concert got shot up at the Bataclan in Paris during the terrorist attacks there a few weeks ago.
Yes, but still, this has nothing to do with it at all, next you will tell me the MiB cartoon predicted 9/11 since it was in New York and did have shit almost crashing into the twin towers.
The gun control debate is entirely irrelevant. We dont know the legality of the firearms. If they're illegal firearms then arguing about the control of legal firearms is irrelevant. How about instead of dragging the same tired debate innto this thread we actually discuss the topic
Because I'm interested in people's opinions on an issue.
The gun control debate is entirely irrelevant. We dont know the legality of the firearms. How about instead of dragging the same tired debate innto this thread we actually discuss the topic
Why can't we do both as long as everyone is calm about it?
I'm relying on this thread for updates and information, as I live just south of there, and have friends and family within 5 minutes of the area. If anyone has up to date links and whatnot they could share instead of debating gun law in a news thread, please do!
Because I'm interested in people's opinions on an issue.
Then take it to the two other active threads on facepunch where people are debating gun control.
I'd argue guns are highly relevant to news about mass shootings. If you disagree you can report the posts to someone with actual power.
Guns are relevant yeah, but debates on gun control and gun laws arent if these guns were acquired through means that exceed any existing measures. People arent asking for this debate to stop until mass shootings stop forever. Because that's probably never going to happen. They're asking for people to stop being hasty and jumping into a very loaded debate topic without understanding the issue at hand so that we can have a more informed discussion when all is said and done.
Reports are that the shooting in the Target shopping center wasn't related. It had to do with a prole issue.
The last thing we fucking need is for this to be ISIS affiliated
: NBC reporting shooting at mall not related. Mall activity for a parole violator
2 separate shootings wtf
https://www.reddit.com/live/w0nn1o5hu90y The shooting at the mall was for a parole violation. No apprehensions as of yet. Stay clear of Waterman because that's where most of the chatter seems to be located. [editline]2nd December 2015[/editline] There will be a police conference at 1:45 Cali time.
