Which will never happen on account of the negative effect it will have on the political careers of the people who would have to pass the legislation to make it happen. It's little more than a pipe dream to think we can ever get election system reform in this country because it has to go across Congress' many desks and none of them will want to change the system they've worked so hard to rig in their favor.
People in Florida unhappy with the current presidency that didn't participate in the election (seriously or whatsoever) should feel pretty bad with themselves
One of my coworkers put down Bernie Sanders because he couldn't decide between Clinton and Trump. Now he spends all day bitching about Trump this, Trump that. Any time I ask him if he reconsiders voting not voting for Clinton he just says "She would have been just as bad". Florida btw.
I can't speak for all throwaway voters, but I can say that the reason I, personally, went out of my way to submit a throwaway vote is not apathy, but conviction. I wanted to express my dissatisfaction with the candidates in an official, concrete, and legal manner. If I didn't give a shit I would have stayed home, but I'd rather something change, so I did the only thing I could; the only thing I felt would have any chance of making a difference.

Did you honestly think that giving president war clown a better chance made a positive statement
The article assumes that all the throwaway voters would have voted Clinton. That's highly unlikely, as their protest votes show they didn't like her, either.

But the indication of the article isn't "She woulda won" it's "This is how little Trump won by" despite Trumps claims to be a super popular president.
