It's already a movie.
I don't see the connection between a space ship entering a hellish dimension. And a ship getting infected by alien technology turning the entire crew into necromorphs. The only thing they have in common is people going to a deserted space ship.
I'd rather have a movie of Dead Space 1 than DS2 or 3, since those were pretty much movies already.
I'm more concerned on how he'd do Isaac. Considering he doesn't say a single word in the first.
Dead Space 3 got really dicey plot-wise, hope they stick to the first two if this is successful.
I want it to be about Dead Space 1 [editline]9th May 2013[/editline]
He would be just the thing for this.
I See what you did there :D
I'm more concerned on how he'd do Isaac. Considering he doesn't say a single word in the first.
Kurt Russel. KURT RUSSEL. Or Edward norton.
Why make a movie when it functions as a game perfectly?
Why make a movie when it functions as a game perfectly?
because it'll be fun to watch you DINGUS
It was really a cover shooter all along!
In the first two games it was coded in, but they never told you what key to press. :v: [editline]9th May 2013[/editline]
Kurt Russel. KURT RUSSEL. Or Edward norton.
Edward Norton could pull it off, but I think Kurt Russel is getting a bit aged for that kind of role. Hugh Laurie as Issac Clarke :quagmire:
now get hugh laurie to do Isaac
man dead space 3 was pretty kickass dunno what you're all on about
I'd rather have costumes and makeup than effects where possible.
Not sure it's quite possible in this kinda movie.
We need anti-aging medicine or something so Kurt Russel and John Carpenter can do shit forever. Kurt Russel as Isaac best movie ever.
Normally I would think this is stupid. But its Dead Space and John Carptenter, its right up his ally since The Thing and Dead Space are pretty fucking similar, id trust him with it.
The thing and Deadspace are like really good bros. Maybe it's because I am a diehard deadspace fan and I love all the games and read all the books and watched all the animated/anime movies about it, but I think this would be a kick ass movie. But I think instead of it following Issac, it needs to follow a ground grew after they've discovered the first marker, show us what happened groundside, because you hear all about it in the game. Soldiers and civvies coming up dead and shit like that. I mean in Deadspace 3, we actually had protocalls to follow where whole camps/bases would off themselves just to contain the infection. Yea it might have been done before in a different verision, but something about Deadspace just delievers the effect of being alone, and that nothing can save you, because you can shot those fuckers as many times as you want, but if ya don't get that you gotta cut them to bits, it ain't gonna stop em.
If this ends up happening I hope there's a bunch of practical effects. That's kinda Carpenter's thing.
I don't think that would happen unless he pulled Rob Bottin out of retirement and put his ass to work on it, he's the person that designed and built the monsters in The Thing.
I want this to happen as long as Carpenter also gets to write the soundtrack, because I need more jizztastic synth in my life.
man dead space 3 was pretty kickass dunno what you're all on about
Hey, I liked DS3 a lot and had fun with it. There were just too many problems and wrong turns taken, and I'm glad the series died rather than continue on its current path.
Seeing as the games are a joke, but the story sounds pretty good, a movie sounds like it would be the best choice for the franchise.
u wot mate?
I don't see the connection between a space ship entering a hellish dimension. And a ship getting infected by alien technology turning the entire crew into necromorphs.
Shit dude you literally have to be blind not to see the heavy influence Event Horizon had on dead space.
Influence yeah, but not a clone of the movie. I.e Event Horizon is not remotely Dead Space The Movie. Which the post implies.
