How about instead of banning sources, we add a requirement that you need at least two sources?
yeah i can get behind this
I present a wonderful solution:

or this
Russia Today once published a story about military exercises occurring in my city complete with low-flying jets and special forces.
What it actually was:
A few blackhawks flying to the airport and a truck full of soldiers blowing a tire going to the military base.
I swear to god, it seems every dumb motherfucker like yourself who uses RT is so dreadfully arrogant. You wouldn't know critical thinking if it kicked you in the bollocks. Oh, we don't like a terrible source, therefore it must be because we want to live in a fantasy fairytale land, not that RT articles are so skewed that, in combination with FPers tendencies to only read the title and perhaps the OP snippet, it contributes as much to discussion as shitting on the table.
If you cannot come up with a thought-out dissenting opinion without it being spoon-fed to you by a state propaganda agency, then you're truly hopeless.
Yeah, this isn't about me, nice deflection though I guess? Even though you didn't provide one actual point in your entire post as to WHY it's a bad source...

It doesn't publish anything that puts Russia in a bad light and routinely presents false information on the news.
It doesn't publish anything that puts Russia in a bad light and routinely presents false information on the news.
Yes, I know the first part. And obviously, without specific examples I don't know why I am expected to just continuing to take your guys word on the second. Why would they even HAVE to lie, seeing as most of what they do to accomplish their objective of making US look bad politically is just exposing our military industrial complex which is probably the easiest job in the universe.

"Putin answered, “When we designed this project back in 2005 we intended introducing another strong player on the world’s scene, a player that wouldn’t just provide an unbiased coverage of the events in Russia but also … try to break the Anglo-Saxon monopoly on the global information streams. And it seems to me that you’re succeeding in this job.”
He then addressed the question of the network’s allegiance to official Kremlin policy, making the somewhat but not entirely contradictory points that he never expected it to serve as a Kremlin mouthpiece but that it “cannot help but reflect the Russian government’s official position.” -Vladimir Putin (Washington Post)

They regularly spout 9/11 conspiracy theories.
I'm sorry but saying RT is simply biased is like saying the Pope is biased to Catholicism.
that's a good analogy.
They both give a skewed view of the world
Yeah, this isn't about me, nice deflection though I guess? Even though you didn't provide one actual point in your entire post as to WHY it's a bad source...
Posting videos and articles about 9/11 conspiracy theories (or more recently, Boston Marathon Bombing conspiracy theories), quoting Syrian state news as if it were immutable fact (every other news site does share Syrian state new opinion, but generally doesn't dedicate a whole article to just it), either not reporting on or mitigating severely news that'd make Russia (or more particularly, the Russian government) look bad etc etc etc. For example, try finding an article on RT about that Russian painter who had to flee the country.
That they have an entire section dedicated to lambasting the US should be clue enough as to their purpose. Hell, not even Fox News has a section marked "Russia", dedicated to slagging them off, though they will take pot shots at them when the opportunity presents itself.
Oh, and among the already-posted conspiracy theory stuff, peddling the "gold dinar" bullshit and asserting that the Arab Spring was a wave of false flags.
They also seem to be of the mind that Finland backs Chechen terrorists. And permits condoning acts of terrorism.. They never published a follow-up article when Juha Molari was found not guilty.
Oddly enough, they now post his blog articles in their opinion section. Quite frankly, they can keep the bugger.
