My school does and they're wealthy as shit. However, they chose to purchase 13 flatscreen TVs for the lunchroom as opposed to upgrading the ancient computers.

My schools the same. We have textbooks that still mention the USSR, East Germany, SFR Yugoslavia, etc and terrible computers. The teachers lounge, on the other hand, has a high-tech kitchen (that's upgraded every 3 or so years), large HD flat screen TVs and the teachers themselves have top of the line computers.
Recently they threw out our old computers and gave us some hooked up to the server. They're slow as shit. It's un-fucking-believable.
and it's all in-game, that's a novelty now

They ARE supporting DirectX9... It's coming out on Xbox360 and PS3. Everything these ancient consoles can do can be done just as easily and much more effectively on a DX9 based system running XP.
