The weak success of Planes prompts Disney to make a sequel

At least it's better than this:

I was almost sure all of Disney's 80's writer supervisor exec's overdosed and died after an overdose of coke in the flamingo in 1989. Honestly this kind of shit makes money lazily and rather damagingly in the long run, fund something new and for god sake, more Up please not more Up 2.
You mean a story about planes with a rehashed plot starring Dane Cook as the lead protagonist didn't do well? Shocker :v: I mean Cars at least did well enough to make a unnecessary sequel seem somewhat justified but Planes is doing far worse and it still gets a sequel. I feel a little bad because Disney got it really good with Wreck it Ralph but then crashed so hard with this. It's like a major step back. On the other hand, Pixar who have done much better with movies as of yet, aren't incapable of making mistakes (Just look at Cars 2) and are not virtual gods of animation. But Pixar Fanboys and Fangirls act like Disney put a metaphorical gun to Pixar's head and forced them to make Cars 2. Anyway, again this movie didn't need to be made and even more did not deserve a sequel in the slightest.
Planes is actually really accurate when it comes to the technical components. I mean, some planes are obviously overperforming and some things aren't accurate but its more accurate than 90% of the movies out there
except for the whole talking planes bit
"I'm British, I don't cry."
Best plane ever.
But if they make Boats instead they can make more money from merchandise!
Boats is actually on the docket.
Not sure about Trains.
Because of the risks you take to save lives, we're making a shitty CG cashgrab sequel in your honor :v:
I am a firefighter. I am not impressed by their tribute

I assume it is about aerial firefighters. Which are awesome and have loads of variety. so might see some neat aircraft
21.27% return on investment isn't that weak.
It excludes the advertising/distribution costs. Most movies have to about double their budget to be truly profitable
I am a firefighter. I am not impressed by their tribute
I have a feeling it's going to rip the plot straight from Backdraft. If this is indeed a tribute, this movie better be filled with bullshit EMS calls.
Straight to DVD.
My friend took her daughter to see it, and said the first Planes should have been straight to DVD. You could just tell it wasn't the whole of Pixar working I it, but just the division that deals with quick DVD releases.
Also Dane Cook.

nah don't sugarcoat, we all know Pixar did it, you can't keep a perfect movie record forever you know, they've changed
For all we know it could've been Pixar's Canada division (the one that does animations for amusement park rides and stuff), so I would still doubt if the Emeryville studio did this.
