Your hard drives became obsolete the moment SSD came into existence.
There seems to be an increase in the misuse of the word obsolete...
Obsolete means that it is no longer being used.
Thus, hard drives that are not SSD are not obsolete because they still function as hard drives and serve a purpose.
The only time your hard drive will become obsolete is if we create a new way to store data that a current hard drive can not do.
But this seems like a pretty smart move forward. Hopefully they will start doing this with the rest of the parts of a computer and optimizing everything. Imagine how well everything will run when it is working at max efficiency.
dx 10 sucks dx 11 is much better. I was used to windows xp since it came out, when win7 beta came out i tryed it out, and well now i use Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and i like it. I dont get why people woudlnt want to switch to win7 it used the same amount of ram that xp uses.

Can't be fucked buying a new network adapter that is compatible with Win7.
It's not like old hard drive technology will disappear.
According to Wikipedia, XP still holds over 50% of the OS marketshare worldwide. Probably because XP is still a great OS for people who don't need 64-bit, and because the release of Vista was plagued with horror stories.
i can't wait until no one supports xp
By 2020, hard drive size would reach 100TB

Seems like a good time to say XP good bye.
Also, is it me or lately windows was working something like that: A new OS that isn't that good, that is followed quickly by a better OS that overshadows it, easily?
