I know a lot of friends who have one parent who's a good parent and involved, and the other barely is at all. The only thing that matters is the good parent, and their effect on the kid. The Far-Right nutjobs have been making a lot of noise since they lost office, but I suppose that's the way of politics. The losing team gets bitter and stupid, embarrasses themselves, eventually calms, and then finally gets a win. Then it's the other team's turn to act dumb for a while. It's not an unfamiliar cycle, but it's still surprising to see how stupid people can get. Anybody arguing that the far-left is immune to the cycle, I urge you to remember the 2004 "Anybody but Bush" campaign that Kerry ran.

Elecbullet, if you want to go and raise a family the good christian way, there's nothing stopping you. Just don't expect the rest of the world to fall in line, including your children.

Quite soon after I said that, I told you how much screwed I would be if we got a divorce. Every married couple fights. That doesn't mean divorce is necessary. Also I never said two married parents are always better.

Let's say they got divorced, you got equal visitation time between the two, they were both easily able to support themselves (and you) by working, and they were generally happier in this situation.
