The only way Australia can change it's constitution (Which states we're a constitutional monarchy, ie. subject to the queen's wishes) is via a public referendum...Which was last held in 1999 to decide if we'd become a Republic or not...
As you could guess, the referendum failed and here we are, still open to whatever the queen wants with a country that isn't very likely to stand up and sever the tie anytime soon...

If the queen starts overriding your government in a malicious way do you really think the people will stand for it?

I'm ashamed that sowhat most of the votes of my province went to his party.
It says the Queen has that power constitutionally.
This means if people don't like it then they need to work to amend that Constitution, not get mad at the Queen.
This makes me ashamed to be a member of the royal family
