They do say that it is +/-3% with a 95% level of confidence.
They're exactly right too. It means there's a 95% chance that the approval rating is 2% +/-3%.
Like I was saying earlier, the current public school system is not tailored to the pursuit of knowledge or enlightenment.
Jesus you sound so nerdy when you say that children should pursue enlightenment. School is well, a school, not a damn buddhist temple.

I don't agree with that definition of school really, school is there to educate you so that you can go into the real world and apply practical knowledge into a career. If you are an engineer I don't see how analyzing books for symbolism will help you later in life. Ask anybody in a non-math field and they will say that they haven't used math skills they've learned in school for decades.

I'm a bloody film maker for a living and I still use math.

Usually when you're working a job and 1 in 20 of all the customers you serve believes you performed satisfactorily you get fired. It's not always a good idea to go to school with your chosen career in mind. School is to learn things, it doesn't matter if it has no "practical" applications at all. Sure you might not need to know the history of your country in your day to day occupation but it's some damned interesting stuff.

Learning advanced math teaches you a way of logical thinking which goes far beyond mathematical problems. An engineer should be able to analyze a book for symbolism because to do that requires imagination and creativity, both of which are required traits for an engineer.
No, he runs Iran. [/obscurereferencetoanincrediblyoldyetimportantbatmanstorylinethatnobodywillget]
Go on.
Go on.
There was once a subplot where Iran appointed the Joker as their formal UN Ambassador, because giving one really good maniac diplomatic immunity and making sure that he's obligated to be in the same room as a lot of world leaders was too good to pass up.
Honestly I'd expect it to be lower.
Really, what is less popular than Congress now(or is worse than Congress)? And like what people said here, if 5% of the people supported what I did at work(if I had a job), I would be fired instantly, and probably have to try to find a new job far away from the old one. 5% in Congress, who the hell cares, lets keep these dipshits in 2012. And NDAA/SOPA isn't helping. We need term limits, or more sane people in Congress, or both.
age limit, no one above 35 is allowed in congress
we should let 13 year olds run the country. At least they'd argue better tha- wait no, nothing would change at all.
age limit, no one above 35 is allowed in congress
That would be dumb as shit. What is needed is a more even distribution of people from different backgrounds and different agaes.
Limit members of Congress to two, maybe three terms.
That would be dumb as shit. What is needed is a more even distribution of people from different backgrounds and different agaes.
Honestly think around 25 is a better age.
I'm surprised there hasn't been some posts about anarchism or some stupid bullshit yet.
anarchism is not stupid
If you want anarchism then GG but for most people (including me) it's a terrible thing.
Soap box Ballot box Jury box Cartridge box
rated box
rated box
I'll admit, that was well done.
I'm guessing this is a less popular side story written decades ago and is non-canon?
...Well, with the crisises and all, I guess you could say that A Death in the Family is technically non-canon by this point...
sounds like sim city when I'm drunk :D
