This pretty much makes the whole plot of Avatar not make sense now dosent it? Aww its fake, shit And here I thought today was going to be the start of a new golden age :(
Apart from the "ambient temperature" bullshit there's nothing wrong with it.
Someone's confused Kelvin for Celsius, looks like. 0K is -273C, which is a few degrees below the temperature of deep space.
And in 100 years kids will read this is how the new age of technology was started.
Proof of aliens I tell you! How else did we learn to make alcohol, which now turns out to be an able superconductor?
Spoiled fruit = alcohol.
Spoiled fruit = alcohol.
you must be an alien
oh the joys of alcohol induced discoveries
Levitating trains? :byodood:
A drunken Japanese scientist just created a room temperature superconductor with aluminum coils and a bottle of alcohol. In other words, a feat that's taken the best minds the world over decades. Does not compute-:psyboom:

I first read it as "Snake"... I was expecting something completely different.

It's not room temperature superconductive, it's superconductive at 7K, which is over 100 degrees celsius worse than some of our other superconductors... (Kelvin and celcius have the same subdivisions, kelvin just starts at absolute zero and celcius starts at ice's freezing point)
It did always taste like lighter fluid.
10 K doesn't seem like ambient temperature, but hey I'm not the guy who wrote the article so whatever.
Yeah I'd have to agree, don't get me wrong I love temperatures that are close to absolute zero and everything but it needs to be a few hundred degrees warmer, you know, so it is actually ambient temp superconductance
I guess when the article said ambient, they meant ambient in the vacuum of outer space...or russia.
