R18+ Rationality Is Dead (Australian Games Ratting)

If the Liberals got rid of abbott and agreed to push for this, then maybe they could win the election outright instead of having goolia steal it from right under them

Because most Australian's have an R18+ rating for games at top prefrence when deciding who to vote for.

Look which party had more votes
look at the percentage of the population who want it.
when both parties aren't that great, it would be smart to have a leader who doesn't get around with his foot in his mouth. Especially when to have the better leader you just need to beat goolia.
Abbott a better leader?
Not even the internals of the Liberal Party will say that he's a good leader. He's a temporary leader until the next election is nearing from here on in.
And I see that the Labor Party had more popular votes in the last election...

As I said, most Australians do not give two hoots about R18+ games.
Then the Federal Government commissioned an independent survey. In said survey, over 80% of Australians claimed they were in support of an R18+ rating for Australia. Nope – still not enough.
I was saying that they really need a better leader because Abbott sucks. He has a mouth that goes faster than he can think.
I always thought Liberals had more votes, but neither had enough to form government without the independents?

While a survey shows a largely positive result, it's pretty much meaningless, because it cannot tell you the ranking of importance a person might place on that issue.

The Liberal / National / LPQ got a fairly larger proportion of first prefrence votes, however, that is not how our members of Parliament are elected.
Based on the popular vote, or 2PP, Labor still had more votes, but of course both are irrelevant in deciding who comes to power.

But the Liberals won more seats, didn't they?
But the Liberals won more seats, didn't they?
Nah. The party or coalition that has the most seats becomes Government.
The Lib / Nat coalition won more seats, but the coalition between Labor, Greens and the Indeps resulted in a Labor Government.

Liberals were 2 seats off a standalone government though, weren't they?

Yes, and Labor 3.
Neither of those results mean that Australia wanted or did not want either or party.
I wish you Australians all the best, I wish that everyone in Australia except for the goverment (99%) would vote yes, so that you guys can play Call of Duty: Black Ops with us, or what ever game you play. Immigration should help, eventually. If it doesn't, it seems like a empty (liberal) future.

Yeah, I was thinking of emigrating from Australia because L4D2 is censored here. Screw all the other opportunities I might have.
Perhaps to the US, land of the free.
L4D2 wasn't even that great anyway.
Nobody even cares about age ratings anyways.
Nobody even cares about age ratings anyways.
Actually no, if we had a R18+ rating for games I can tell you right now parents would think twice before buying their kid a game with that rating. Also, gaming stores would have the power not to sell a game with a R18+ rating to someone if they believe someone under the age of 18 would be playing it. I still can't believe we are having to fight for something sosimple and understandable, I mean every other country has a R18+ why not us. If they keep dicking around its going not just going to affect games buy games stores, games studios and also trade. Gaming is becoming big bucks now, and are government is giving it the finger.
