It's a love thing, I guess you guys wouldn't understand. I don't mean that they own each other or anything, but they are...very close, I don't know how to put it, I guess.
'i guess you guys wouldn't understand' yes i guess i don't understand your 14 year old perception of 'true love'
'i guess you guys wouldn't understand' yes i guess i don't understand your 14 year old perception of 'true love'
love doesn't have an exact definition, sorry if his doesn't fit yours (as silly as it may be), no need to get upset.
'i guess you guys wouldn't understand' yes i guess i don't understand your 14 year old perception of 'true love'
Typical fucking age bullshit when you literally have no idea who I am, all you have proven is that you have nothing to say besides shit.
Typical fucking age bullshit when you literally have no idea who I am, all you have proven is that you have nothing to say besides shit.
not saying that's your literal age, but saying you have a childish perception of 'love' also, a bit hypocritical to be saying 'YOU HAVE LITERALLY NO IDEA WHO I AM' when you're gonna be saying 'oh it's a love thing i GUESS you guys wouldn't understaaaand'
not saying that's your literal age, but saying you have a childish perception of 'love' also, a bit hypocritical to be saying 'YOU HAVE LITERALLY NO IDEA WHO I AM' when you're gonna be saying 'oh it's a love thing i GUESS you guys wouldn't understaaaand'
Well you guys have shown that you don't agree with my thoughts on how a loving couple exists, so yeah, you guys apparently don't understand.
That article was insulting to both genders. Not only does it imply women are supposed to be uneducated baby factories, it also implies men are dumb and don't like intelligent women because it's "emasculation" to be with one.
it's funny that you're talking about 'true love' in a thread about a woman treating getting a husband as a competition with women in their 20s
I'd like to say this video lays everything out pretty nicely, or at least in my opinion.
What's wrong with casual sex
What's wrong with casual sex
it doesn't say anything is wrong with casual sex, it's saying there's more to life than career and casual sex, and that it's not exactly a recipe for happiness or success.
and it implies that all men look for in a woman is youth and looks
Yeah essentially women shouldn't live up to their potential and have fulfilling lives and careers, because doing so might offend whatever deadbeat husband they might find. The article is fucking disgusting, I don't know how anyone could defend this.
I see the point the article is attempting to make. It just fails horridly at conveying it and just thrashes the concept of women's rights in the process. They're basically attempting to say "don't focus too much on your career that it makes it impossible to find love later in life." That falls within all genders. I kind of agree, but I don't agree with completely giving up your aspirations to succeed in just finding whoever wants to stick it in you or suck your cock first. It's also anyone's choice whether they want to do either or both. Want love and no career? Good for you. Want career and no love? Okay. Want both? Alright! This article just conveys it as: "Women should just give up on their careers entirely to find a husband and ONLY women period." in a pre-women's rights fashion.
Complete garbage. She even took George Orwell's quote and made it seem like he agreed with her (the quote has nothing to do with feminism)
Complete garbage. She even took George Orwell's quote and made it seem like he agreed with her (the quote has nothing to do with feminism)
how is it garbage that women should be able to make their own decisions without being labeled by both men, and feminists?
how is it garbage that women should be able to make their own decisions without being labeled by both men, and feminists?
She was attacking a strawman version of feminism, feminism doesn't say women should be like men or that they have to get an education, or that they should go out and have casual sex(funny how she implies only men enjoy casual sex and that pursuing someone you're attracted to is a mans thing which is a completely sexist idea in of itself), it just says they shouldn't be shamed for doing what men do (and on the flip side men shouldn't be shamed for doing what women traditionally do either)

I don't see how anyone can say she's telling women to just drop their careers. She's just saying to spend more time early on looking for a significant other than people would have you believe. Also, women are in competition with younger women. It's a fact. Just like men are in competition with younger, more active men. That's another fact. Not exactly sexist to state a fact.

The video attacked the typical strawman that you see MRA's waffling on about. Real feminism is not like that (its also not one big unified idea, there are many varying feminist ideas)
Depends on the carrer, if you want to get into upper management then you don't just settle for a 9-5 routine, you have to work harder to impress people, network, and otherwise put a lot of hours in.
Do people actually WANT to get into these jobs? I always thought they were situations you found yourself in because you got comfortable, not because you enjoy it, and you don't want to run the risk of moving onto something else and finding yourself in a worse financial situation or something.
I think shes attacking the more radical versions of feminism, which do exist.
She just said feminism and said she was creating a "new" feminism for the 21st century. Never said anything about any "extreme feminism" (nevermind that extreme feminism is a small minority of the feminist community any way)
Proof that you don't need a dick to be on r/Redpill.

Like how a cardinal will risk its life so its mate can eat, even if they aren't currently raising their young, or how one's mate might give up on life and let their body shut down after the loss of the aforementioned mate, from a sociopathic or purely logical view it makes no sense. The two are in a way one. Some might call this a defect, others call it love, but never dare to go as far as to say whatever it is doesn't exist.
relationships aren't a competition and if you have to 'compete' with someone else concerning your significant other then your relationship is going to fail.
Getting into a relationship is certainly a competition. Remaining in a relationship is a game, and it does have some competitive elements because people external to the relationship can have extreme effects on relationships, and it has nothing to do with the relationship being broken from the get-go.

All she's saying is that you shouldn't value work to a point that it makes finding love (a seriously important part of most of the population's happiness) impossible.
Getting into one can be (sort of, statistically at least) but if staying in a relationship becomes a game....bail
Everything is a game! Maintaining friendships is a game, life is a game. There is a goal (even if the goal is to continue the game itself), there are strategies, there are tips & tricks...etc
