This really balances the game for the common infected. Makes guns a little-bit less effective. It will make the game last longer.
[editline]11:10AM[/editline]
And while the Survirors are distracted by this, it will give the Infected Bosses a chance to kill the survirors.
[editline]11:12AM[/editline]
The Fire-Proof Infected are also a nice addition, makes Molotov spam outdated.
what is with all of you, you are all like "wow valve is lazy" look at l4d, common infected.
uhh, it was just zombies, no need to do anything special to kill them. i don't think these are the other special infected, they are talking about, these are just different 'common' infected
I'd have a zombie alligator during Swamp Fever.
we need zombies like your avatar :banjo:
we need zombies like your avatar :banjo:
That is one of the new zombies in L4D2.
unloading a full clip on their fronts will essentially do nothing.
:argh:
Jesus what a lazy enemy.
Oh PLEASE.
now the boycotters will say that every single thing that Valve releases sucks.
because they can't deal with the fact that Left 4 Dead 2 is worth the money.
so guess what? we don't care anymore!
Yer the country music is awful...
It doesn't add fear into the atmosphere at all.
Thats on my only complaint though.
Uhm have you even heard the Panic event music ?
Yeah it may have a clarinet here and there but it also has some heavy sounding bass. I for one like the new music.
[editline]02:09PM[/editline]
Wtf ? Why is everyone bitching ? This sounds pretty neat.

Double Post
Why can't I edit the post above?
[editline]05:29PM[/editline]
Oh, nevermind...
*care.
Bad ass.
what about incendiary rounds?
what about incendiary rounds?
I'd assume that still be worthwhile, as long as he isn't also wearing a fire-proof outfit, if they did that, then I would think they are being lazy.
Honestly the new environment doesn't really seem terrifying, but just has a lot more cheap scares.
I jumped a little when I saw a charger run out from underwater and kill everyone in one of the gameplay videos, I imagine I'll jump a little the first time I see the spitter's nasty gob the instant I turn a corner.
I don't like how l4d2 looks so fucking gimmicky.
L4D2 looks like it'll be mediocre. The first was met with large amounts of excitement because it was new and inventive, but then they planned for a year after the first, and mucked everything up. L4D2 looks like one huge gimmicky expansion pack.

u will buy it :c00l:
What's up with the Kotaku comment saying it's a cliche? I've never seen any enemy that you can only kill from behind before.
Twinblade
Won't Kevlar start to weaken after several rounds?
Cool take away everything that made Left 4 Dead a Valve game and make it into some generic zombie shooter. Thanks L4D2.
well fuck, this takes the fun out of lighting up zombies with automatic weapons and shotguns.
Those that aren't going to buy the game need to stop complaining about it anyway.
I mean you're not going to be playing it so how does this affect you?

It's not supposed to be a horrer game, genius.
The first game will get new content. The new game is too big for a DLC. For all the stuff I'm seeing, this is worth paying for.
u will buy it :c00l:
I don't know. I might, I might not. It depends on the reception from fans of the game. If it's got horrible ratings, and is considered an expansion pack, or DLC, then I won't buy it, because it either A). Won't be worth my time or B). Won't be worth my money.
L4D2 is all about the melee weapons.
You're totally right. It isn't about the AI Director 2.0, or the new infected, or the uncommon common infected, or the new survivors, or the new guns, or the new campaigns, or anything else! It's ONLY about melee weapons.
I was thinking on how this would work in an actual game play standpoint and I would just imagine that the whole team pumps it full of bullets from the front like every other thing in the game and continues with their day instead of having to go around and get it from behind.
This thread went from "Oh look, there's a whole new, original common infected that'll take more tactical thinking to defeat in Left 4 Dead 2!" to "Wait, L4D2?" to "WHY IN GOD'S NAME DID VALVE MAKE A SEQUEL TO A GAME I LOVED THOSE BASTARDS" just like every other thread. :sigh:
