Lovefilm is great. Shame about the streaming quality though. What's Netflix's like?
Netflix's stream quality is actually pretty nice down here. You guys might have a different story though, not sure if there's a reason behind Lovefilm's bad quality.
Fuck Netflix, I want Hulu.
Now maybe they can focus on making Canadian Netflix a bit less absolute shit.
I had no idea you UK'ers didn't have Netflix. I am SO sorry, you were missing out on a CRAP LOAD. Have fun!
So how do i view the full selection on the site? It only shows about 15 things from each category, nothing that is advertised on the front page is shown.
FUCKING HELL WHY IS ASIA ALWAYS THE LAST GODDAMMIT WHY The world hates us. All our TV shows are slow, we either get shit or don't get them, or we get them last.
You guys didn't have netflix?
You American's get pretty much everything that we care about first!
Considering getting this, would be good to watch shows on my tablet without having to download them. Also from what I've heard the UK site is buggy and doesn't actually display the full amount of shows and movies until you sign up, but apparently you can see the whole library unregistered using the app.
Fuck streaming movies. For one my connection is too slow but also the quality of the movies is bad, even in "HD" it's compressed to fuck. If the movies were truly HD you would end up streaming about 10GB of data. Can't beat renting a blu-ray from lovefilm.
We already have iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and 5oD, we don't really need this in terms of TV unless it's going to provide the US shows that we can't otherwise get over here.
AFAIK all of them except 4oD are just 'catch up' things where you can watch a show up to a week after it aired, whereas Netflix has them forever
Or until the company that controls the rights to that show says otherwise.
Anybody who says Netflix is shit doesn't have it or a girlfriend to cuddle up with.
Netflix is shit

Just signed up :D
They have such a small list of movies here in the US, it's shameful. Though I'm happy because they have every Ghost in the Shell imaginable aside from some movies.
A number of different companies have actually withdrawn their content from Netflix's selection, either taking them off of streaming or removing them all-together.
I heard Sony removed their stuff. Is this true?
