drugs are fine, don't start this.
Are you really defending the hard stuff like Heroin? Shit like pot is fine, but if you really think Heroin is fine, please step in front of a bus.
Heroin is perfectly safe, no side effects what so ever.
safer than guns
Are you really defending the hard stuff like Heroin? Prohibition never works. People should have the freedom to put whatever they want in their body at their will as long as it does not harm anyone else in my opinion.
safer than guns
That's really fucking stupid logic. There is no way in hell a gun is less safe than Heroin. Because contrary to popular belief, you don't have to fire a gun at yourself/another person!
Yeah and you don't have to use dirty AIDS needles or heroin cut with rat poison either
haha dude kneeslapper xDD your posts are top shelf comdy omg XDD!
haha dude kneeslapper xDD your posts are top shelf comdy omg XDD!
Okay
Making it perfectly legal no, helping addicts overcome their addiction how you mentioned is far different than saying "hey let's make this completely dangerous substance perfectly legal and socially acceptable".
Making something legal doesn't make it socially acceptable. Yeah heroin will kill you, everybody knows how dangerous of a drug it can be and a lot of people stay away from it. Making it legal doesn't change that.
But by legalizing it, I'd say you'd be legitimizing their addictions. No?
That's really fucking stupid logic. There is no way in hell a gun is less safe than Heroin. Because contrary to popular belief, you don't have to fire a gun at yourself/another person!
but what you do with heroin is your own issue and your own body. what you do with a gun can be somebody else's issue and somebody else's body why are we even talking about this
but what you do with heroin is your own issue and your own body. what you do with a gun can be somebody else's issue and somebody else's body why are we even talking about this
both should be completely unregulated.
But by legalizing it, I'd say you'd be legitimizing their addictions. No?
alcohol is legal and millions of people are addicted to it. is their addiction legitimate? wtf even is a legitimate addiction guns are also legal in some places and there are 2 school shootings every week. by your logic, are those shootings legitimised?
but what you do with heroin is your own issue and your own body. what you do with a gun can be somebody else's issue and somebody else's body why are we even talking about this
Because you made the blanket statement that all drugs are perfectly acceptable.
That's really fucking stupid logic. There is no way in hell a gun is less safe than Heroin. Because contrary to popular belief, you don't have to fire a gun at yourself/another person!
there are fewer heroin overdoses per year than gun deaths tho, and they tend to be self inflicted... not to say that self inflicted gunshots aren't terrible or anything. but yeah, i mean, from a statistical standpoint fewer homicides result from heroin, and fewer deaths happen from heroin both intentionally and unintentionally...
Because you made the blanket statement that all drugs are perfectly acceptable.
obviously i was being hyperbolic and i don't believe that for one minute. all drugs can be bad, just like all guns can be bad. the difference is the design of the two
But by legalizing it, I'd say you'd be legitimizing their addictions. No?
Cigarettes are legal.
alcohol is legal and millions of people are addicted to it. is their addiction legitimate? wtf even is a legitimate addiction guns are also legal in some places and there are 2 school shootings every week. by your logic, are those shootings legitimised?
My wording should have been a little different, more like condoning them. And yeah, as a society we condone alcoholism and alcoholics, just look at the 'bro' type culture where it's OK to get smashed every night. And to an extent, yes we do condone these shootings by having guns be legal, but at the same time murder and shooting others is illegal, so we also don't condone it. Like Jagur said, we should have clinics where Heroin Addicts, Alcoholics, etc.. can be safely detoxed with the aid of a medical professional. But by no means should Heroin or any other hard drug be legalized.
Cigarettes are legal.
And as an asthmatic I don't believe they should be. Smoking is terrible.
@bdd458 who is Jaguar
What are you even saying at this point? Guns are better than drugs because of bro-culture.
I'm not even talking about guns at this point. [editline]25th January 2014[/editline]
@bbd458 who is Jaguar
Wait I just realized there is no a at the end of your name. my mistake.
im gonna draw the line and say that trying to compare any drug that does not elicit aggressive reactions (ie most drugs minus alcohol, pcp, and meth) - like heroin, pot, whatever - to guns is probably the most ridiculously stupid thing that you can do. they're not even comparable. guns are not designed to intoxicate you, they're designed to punch holes in things at high velocities. the only thing that changes the "purpose" of the gun is if you aim it at an inanimate object instead of what it was designed to be pointed at (that is, organic living tissue for the purpose of transforming it into organic dead tissue)
I like how I made a slightly tongue in cheek comment about heroin and then start contributing to the thread spinning out of control.
sh: the musical
sh: the musical
The only musical about Guns, Heroin, and Pedophiles!
alcohol is legal and millions of people are addicted to it. is their addiction legitimate? wtf even is a legitimate addiction guns are also legal in some places and there are 2 school shootings every week. by your logic, are those shootings legitimised?
Drunk drivers probably kill more people than gun owners.
Drunk drivers probably kill more people than gun owners.
about 3x as many people die from guns than drunk driving http://www.gunpolicy.org/firearms/region/united-states http://www.centurycouncil.org/drunk-driving/drunk-driving-fatalities-national-statistics
about 3x as many people die from guns than drunk driving http://www.gunpolicy.org/firearms/region/united-states http://www.centurycouncil.org/drunk-driving/drunk-driving-fatalities-national-statistics
nah it's not 3x. check homicides. it's about the same
depends if killing yourself is defined as killing a person, because the drunk driver one is probably defined that way. also the gun homocides is still a bit higher than the drunk driver deaths.
