DOS is where it's at. Microprose and Origin were amazing companies.
Still got my Gameboy Color and PS1
build museum, gather as many of the original consoles as you can, keep them in there, use them to play old games
well then activision hasn't made any games since the Atari considering it's a publishers house
Um lets stop right here and consider Mechwarrior 2 / Mercenaries.
Atari 2600 owners unite
:hfive:
I still play my SNES all the time. Midway Arcade games have kept me going for years. Fuck yeah, Asteroid!
No they're not :colbert: I can't afford a 10,000 dollar NES so they're the best thing to use to play old games. I'm sorry I wasn't born at the right time, I have the original Playstation though, it doesn't work but I have it.
Or you can not be dumb and buy a 20$ toploader. NES have had problems playing games sometimes, the article even brings this up.
I still have everything from SNES and up (Excluding Xbox and PS1)
and that is why i never sell anything related to gaming. Right now, i'm padding myself on the back for preserving history. somehow, i always thought about this. i've been focused on this since i began gaming. I even had Emulators of every sega and Nintendo system up and running on my PS3 with controller to make up for not having had those systems. i would never have experienced FF4-6 or Donkey Kong Country series if i hadn't. the oldest console i have is a Sega Game gear :D it's like what 1993 or something
I still rock out on Hop Monster sometimes. Made in 1983 btw.
emulators are fucking terrible.
I've never had a problem with one, although I only really play mainstream games (Mario, Sonic, Pokemon, Zelda, Zombies Ate My Neighbours etc)
I've got an old ZX Spectrum 128k. 1985, I think. It came with a floppy drive, which was new and exciting at the time, but the contacts inside it have long since rusted away. It loads from audio cassettes (or mp3 players) just fine though. The colours are a little sketchy, and the output flickers now and again, but it's in fine fettle. Also got a bunch of Megadrive/Genesis games. All of them still work.
Got Atari 2600, Sega genesis And That thing that rapes your eyes by nintendo...
I still have my Commodore Amiga A600 and A1200HD with a large box of programs, unfortunately my C64 died so I had to throw it out.
