I wish it would just rain (West Midlands is far too hot right now)
More like Americans'll come in saying it's a cool day in X state.
Its a pretty cool day in [del]X state[/del] Pennsylvania, 3.9 celsius.
I'll be honest when someone says 'Record breaking temperature', I expect something like High 30s/Low 40s not 0.1 higher than the previous highest.
It happens every single year. They always find a way to report on the heat and how its the hottest day/month/week/whatever in x amount of years.
More like Americans'll come in saying it's a cool day in X state.
Yup! It is a cool 45 degrees F (7.2 C) here in Ohio!
It's been lashin rain just across the water, here in Ireland. How'd the UK get so lucky?
I wish it would just rain (West Midlands is far too hot right now)
Yeah, apparently we got some of the hottest bits of it in Brum.
All I want is a cold and chilly autumn :(
You also have to remember humidity affects how hot it feels as well. Texas might have a similar temperature to here but with a much lower humidity. This allows the body to dump heat through sweat faster.
Fuck man, it's been a scorcher these last coupla days. These clear skies are actually making me kinda nervous; it really shouldn't stay this hot in SEPTEMBER, let alone early October. Thankfully I can see traces of cloud, so we might be able to expect some cooling rains in a few days. Still, it's good weather for a barbecue.
so how hot is it right now?
so how hot is it right now?
In Birmingham, the current temperature according to the weather gadget on my desktop, is 28 celsius.
So we had a ridiculously hot spring, a cool summer and now what looks to be a hot start to autumn? I blame the Tories.
It won't last, this is London's 5 day forecast, 10 degree drop in a few days, but still higher than average
Hottest October on record? Its only the 1st, don't they mean hottest day in October?
Shit, October went by real fast.
Weird to see all the fats are still wearing fleeces to hide their sweat stains in Sept/October. usually by now they are starting to wearing less clothes than normal people because its getting cold and their obeseity insulates naturally like polar bears.
Well, I wished I lived in a place with 28ºC of temperature. God, you'd melt if you ever visited this humidity hellhole. 37ºC with 90% humidity. :v:
You can tell a lot of the climate by observing obesities it is a good survival skill to know.
29 degrees Celsius? Oh please! In Singapore, our temperature is always around 27 to 32c everyday. If you want hot, see the temperature in the Sahara. But be glad you have a warm summer cause when winter comes, you'll be freezing your butts off.
It makes me frustrated and it feels really asphyxiating. I hope it goes away soon.
For the record, October is just beginning
I predict that the seasons will shift down the line. Summer in October = No Sense is Made.
Shame this wont last till half term when I can make use of it, stuck in all weekend with essays and stuff.... It was pretty annoying last week as well, since the heat made me tired, almost falling asleep in Physics lessons.... And it is the highest temperature we've had in October, that's why they're saying it's the hottest October. We had a pretty shit September before the warm spell.
Suck it October 1985, we beat you by 0.1c
October 1985? I guess all the time travel heated up the air at the time
We've had 17C over here in Sweden all week and lovely weather, it's a rare thing in September here
I freaking hate it when the weather's like this. It gets really, amazingly hot, and just as I start to break out into a cold-sweat it turns freezing.
In Birmingham, the current temperature according to the weather gadget on my desktop, is 28 celsius.
Just Google "Temperature" followed by a location. e.g. "Temperature Manchester United Kingdom"
29 degrees Celsius? Oh please! In Singapore, our temperature is always around 27 to 32c everyday.
your body is acclimatised to it because you've grown up with it. plus your architecture is designed with that climate in mind, ours isn't.
Yeah most places here aren't made for this weather. My university building is made for keeping heat in, and practically no shops around here have air conditioning and there's certainly no houses with it.
We get 30-40'C as a regular summer temperature here. You know how you're suffocating in your air-conditioning-less houses? I do almost every day. It sucks. Helloooooo summer.
