It's so weird how it's foggy and uncomfortably cold in the morning and then suddenly at 10:30 it's boiling hot. "I have to walk for 45min and it'll be really cold if I wear just a shirt... should I take a jacket? But I'll have to carry it for the rest of the day... What if the hot is finished and it rains?"
Been raining in Scotland all day and its cold.
The air itself isn't actually that cold, it's just that the bloody rain makes you wet and cools you down. Really didn't want to walk to work this morning in that pissing rain.
Still finding that opening my window isn't doing anything - is there a trick in hot countries to cool your houses down you could teach us brits please?
Its still boiling now, at bloody 10:06 it's too hot for clothes. I have my windows wide open, my blinds drawn back and my door open to get a draft going, this is horrible. Anyone living in a cold country (pref. with skiing nearby) need a friend? (I think I may have rated you dumb, you're not dumb, you're just really really warm)
As an Irishman I'm not built for this extreme heat. Over 20 degrees C? Fuck me, bring on the snow.
Sucks. 45F here. I'm loving it.
Sucks. 45F here. I'm loving it.
is that hot or cold?
we're having a barbaque tomorrow :v:
is that hot or cold?
don't panic, that's a 7 degrees celcius heat wave
It's annoying trying to sleep through this. My bedroom is on a 3rd floor which only makes it worse.
My pc is heating.
My pc is heating.
I daren't turn my xbox on because I think the room temp will probably raise to about 35
Been fucking hot here in Norway as well. While not 30c we had around 24 yesterday.
Supposedly according to youtube we need to make a rain turtle facing west and summon it using the power of a rain god.
To continue the British tradition of moaning about the weather, its currently 30'c in my room (and 13 outside), this is insane. I hope it cools down a bit before I try to sleep, I don't think anyone can sleep in this sort of temperature.
Yesterday the African boy in my class nearly collapsed due to the heat. You know it's hot when...
It's been pretty hot here in Denmark too. [editline]2nd October 2011[/editline]
I daren't turn my xbox on because I think the room temp will probably raise to about 35
That's my room temperature right now. D: I blame BF3.
My room gets ridiculously hot and the heat really didn't help today, i had to put my fans on full and now i've got a bloody windtunnel in my room.
In sweden it often is the inverted in april, we always have snow in the beginning of the month and in the end we have summer weather with 25C+.
itt we post about our country's climate and say how hard it sucks compared to UK's
Do you guys not own light clothing?
Do you guys not own light clothing?
Even with light clothing this is not nice. Its more the humidity than the actual heat to be honest. Currently the humidity is 93% according to the BBC.
As a Chicagoan this thread makes me grind my teeth to read all this whining about "unbearable" weather. I'm jealous of the nice temperate climate you guys (normally) have.
It's 00:16 and my shirt is sticking to my skin, I haven't been this hot any time this year.
More like Americans'll come in saying it's a cool day in X state.
really because in Arizona it's hot as fuck. Always. I don't mind it though, I like warmer temperatures. 70 Fahrenheit or below is too cold for me.
I know you guys don't get temperatures this high often, but you guys are seriously whining too much. We get 85 degrees Fahrenheit (29.5 degrees Celsius) just about every single day in Maryland (US, Middle of Eastern Coast) and often higher. You guys can't possibly find this heat unbearable. Don't you guys have air conditioning?
It's actually so hot here and opening the window is making no difference

[editline]2nd October 2011[/editline]
Indian summer.
Apparently not, according to the BBC an Indian summer is a heatwave towards the end of October and the start of November.
Being on the tube is hell in this heat. I'm used to it being cold all the time, I haven't felt this warm since I was in Spain 2 years ago!
What the fuck, weather. All of the summer you have being trolling us up here in the north, then suddently on the 1st of october we get 25+? Seriously?
i hate this warm weather, i actually prefer it to be cold and raining
