Already posted by someone on page 2 but re posting since some people seem to have not noticed.
Personally I don't have any doubts about sc2. When blizzard makes a game, I have a lot of faith in it. They seem to nail it just right every time to make a classic. The only part that seems bad is the lack of LAN which I find to be a draconian way of addressing piracy issues. I'm spending over 60 bucks on this game so I would have liked the option to use LAN.. I'll be buying it regardless anyway.
does anyone think if valve and blizzard teamed up they could make the best video game movie ever?
and i'm willing to bet the profits from this will be used to buy bigger shoulder pads.

What you would get is a company that makes market defining games....
Every 20 years

And that's only if you're lucky.

If valve makes a movie its definetly gonna sell like hotcakes.
How the fuck could it possibly cost 100 million to make?
They fucking got the community to beta test it for free, and there's nothing overly spectacular in terms of graphics.
Stories are easy to make.
Well lets see they have to pay for computers and the extremely expensive programs to construct the game with, and the fact that they have to pay everybody that's working every day for every hour they work
The game did not cost 100 million to make
It costs one hundred thousand dollars to develop this game for twelve seconds
Oh god I choked on soda
7 pillars?
I see what they did there.
Huh, $100 million to make Kerrigan human again.

Really now?
It's something practically everyone expects, so they might not do it just to fuck with us.
After her infestation she soft of became a bitch.

A'yup it actually happens.
The cutscenes are on YT .
Ok, let the people who want to see spoilers go watch the cut scenes on YT. Most of us actually want to play the game and see the story.

Yea I knew it was going to happen just from watching the latest trailer. [sp]Jim is torn because of what happened to her, of course he has to save her. Either that or die trying to talk some sense into her. But we all know the latter would be worse because we all want Jim to live and the Zerg are supposed to be a relentless race.
Though now I'm confused. Without Kerrigan controlling the Zerg Swarms, are the Overseers going to take control? I'm unfamiliar with what's going on in Starcraft 2 as to how the large Swarms can be controlled by a half human.[/sp]
I want a way of buying this without sending money to kotick.

I want a way to divide by zero but we can't have everything

mmm, I'm sorry, I'm just not seeing it. TBH, after 12 years and 100m dollars you'd think you'd see something more impressive.

Less than 12 years actually, more like 5-7, and according to the post before mine, less than $100 million as well. As I think about it, $100 million is far too much for an RTS game.

When would you ever need to divide by zero? Honestly.
Last week we reported on a Wall Street Journal article that tagged the development cost of StarCraft II at more than $100 million. According to Blizzard, it was a case of right price, wrong game.
How much did StarCraft cost to make? Blizzard hasn't said, nor is it planning to any time soon. What Blizzard will tell us however, is that the $100 million figure that appeared in the Wall Street Journal is not correct.
Apparently the WSJ got its games mixed up. The $100 million-plus figure in the article referred to the development and upkeep of World of Warcraft, its massively-multiplayer online game. The numbers are based off figures we reported on two years ago.
The Wall Street Journal has printed a retraction, and our original post on the subject has been updated as well.
I hope JohnnyMo1 doesn't see this.
$150? Where are you buying your copy? It's 60 for regular edition, 99.99 for collectors.
They split it into 3 pieces, dude, for the complete Starcraft 2 game you have to buy 3 games at full price.
Yea I knew it was going to happen just from watching the latest trailer. [sp]Jim is torn because of what happened to her, of course he has to save her. [sp]Most likely that she is, to some extent controlled by the overseers, though I'd say that she doesn't control the zerg, think of her as a commander of the zerg that are already on the ground.
Like leading rampaging bulls in a specific direction. The zerg shouldn't lose much if she's transformed back, and if the overseers still have some control over her afterwards they then have an assassin deep inside the enemy. The overseers don't seem to be a hive mind as much as being sentient and ruling over a hivemind.[/sp]

The quote said $150 a copy. Meaning one game. $50-60 a copy is the actual price for each campaign. Therefor it is $150-180 in total for 3 copies of the game.

no
Only cost that much because it's been in development for 5 years.

Wait what.
[sp]If anything Duran is a Xel'Naga and is fucking with Kerrigan to create the hybrids. I thought she had complete control over all of the Zerg after Brood War. And the Overseers are just evolved Overlords, way under what Cerebrates and not even close to Kerrigan.
I mean after the first Overmind was killed by Tassadar and the Daggoth/Cerebrate fusion Overmind was killed by Zeratul, Kerrigan is pretty much the queen bitch of the Zerg.[/sp]
Props fo' reference, holla.
