Whoever gets mad or even think negatively about this should not be allowed to vote.
Don't many Poles have a very anti-gay mentality? I remember some Polish party wanted to ban discussions about homosexuality in school some years ago.

Most slavic countries have a very anti gay mentality, yeah.
If I was the transsexual, I'd ask for my money back.
Poland has also abolished the death penalty, gay marriage isn't legal but gay sex has never been illegal under Polish law (most other countries it has, including the United States), and gays have been able to serve in the military longer than they have in the United States
It's a deeply religious country and the attitudes of the public are conservative but government policy is actually quite progressive
and we are still an almost third world country
yeah
+ the political party that wants to do all this stuff - legalize some drugs, gay marriage, transsexual politicians does it for a public stunt, not for freedom or other values
scandal and everything and they know. Sure thing the effect is cool - ultra-catholic nation being progressive and all of that. But it's all going to end there, and then we are going to do it other way around - legalize death penalty etc
And also, having a gay/transsexual member of parliament doesn't necessarily make Poland "more progressive" than other countries. In other countries there mightn't be gay/transsexual people who are fit for the job, just like any other people.

Automerge!
It is a good sign coming from such as a Catholic nation

Hey, just because they're in Eastern Europe doesn't make them slavic :( Homophobia is very visible in the entire Eastern Europe.
I don't see the significance in this.
She's a gay tranny]. Does this affect her ability to do political shit?
No.
Just saying, that word's pretty offensive dude.

hot
We have a gay minister this isn't new.
Finally some progress in this backwards ass-country
Fuck religion. I want to be able to see them crumble, and judging by the way things are evolving, there's a high chance I'll be able to see more than half of the European population simply not giving a shit about religion shortly before I'll die - assuming I'l live 60-70 years.
You know, America might have already had a gay president.
Ever heard of James Buchanan?
