Definition of marriage. What the fuck does that even mean? We have to place a value and define everything now? I disagree with the definition of mexican food in fast food chains.
Why don't you agree with it, spy?
What's the purpose for being against gay marriage? If you're not gay it shouldn't affect you, so why be against it?
What's the purpose for being against gay marriage? If you're not gay it shouldn't affect you, so why be against it?
Because some people are just fucking stupid.
Because some people are just fucking stupid.
I know I bet if gay marriage were to be legal tomorrow (in every state), those who are so against it wouldn't even notice a difference. They would just be going on with their lives, like everybody else. Also, It's stupid to say that more people will become gay, its whatever... that just means more women for me

That, and the huge Pride Parades there would probably be would stir them up.
I didn't say it was wrong, I said I don't like it. Dum-dum.
its dumb to dislike something that isn't wrong and harms no one its not a matter of "taste", it's a matter of moral judgment
Definition of marriage. What the fuck does that even mean? We have to place a value and define everything now?
Marriage: The formal union of a man and a woman. I don't care if they get together, but don't call it marriage. Also, 'Gay' marriage doesn't cut it either because that assumes a gay man and gay woman would like to get married, and therefore makes no sense.
I would say this sums up my response pretty well.
People keep on saying I think gay marriage is wrong when I'm saying I disagree with the term. Call it something else, anything else.
People keep on saying I think gay marriage is wrong when I'm saying I disagree with the term. Call it something else, anything else.
Still want to know why you think they should call it else.
People keep on saying I think gay marriage is wrong when I'm saying I disagree with the term. Call it something else, anything else.
How about we get rid of marriage altogether? I mean, people might as well piss on each other to mark their territory. But seriously, Christ, just change a definition. It's not that sad that the old definition will be forgotten and oh the fading of traditional culture and tradition and what-have-you.
Starting today, same-sex marriage shall now be known as "Spysabigot".
I'd be okay with this, if it gets me famous.
I would say this sums up my response pretty well.
Louis C.K. already was pretty awesome in my book man. To everyone: you'd have to be an idiot to believe that a definition of marriage is strictly set to male and female and because of that it should stay that way. There is no set gender in marriage, all definitions saying "Male and female" are biased, because marriage ISN'T based on GENDER, its based on Person 1 and person A becoming 1 and 2 or A and B, its as simple as that, theres literally nothing more to it. There was never any set 'rules' before the beginning of man that marriage was destined to be between a male and a female, such medieval thinking is absolutely imaginary, and silly. Hell, I wish that everyone in the world were both genders just so we would stop bitching about gender differences. A man has a penis, a woman has a vagina, who gives a shit? They can use it however the hell they please, so long as its perfectly natural. (Man/man, woman/woman is still natural)
Call it something else, anything else.
your attachment to this word is weird *if you love the word marriage so much why don't you marry it*
your attachment to this word is weird *if you love the word marriage so much why don't you marry it*
Best response. Ever.
It has nothing to do with biology, it's pure sociology Living conditions are becoming better around the world so birth rates go down because families don't need ten kids to provide for the household anymore So next time anyone bitches about their country spending their tax money on African aid shut up because you're investing in making food prices cheaper for you in the future
Its both really. Speaking of marriage, am I the only one who think its just a gimmick now anyway.
People keep on saying I think gay marriage is wrong when I'm saying I disagree with the term. Anything else.
People keep on saying I think non-segregated water fountains are wrong when I'm saying that I disagree with them. Give blacks something else. Anything else.
And Zeke's unintended hilarity comes in the picture.
And Zeke's unintended hilarity comes in the picture.
Well it's true, just because blacks were forced to drink out of a different fountain doesn't mean people thought they were inferior or anything right I mean water is water!
Well it's true, just because blacks were forced to drink out of a different fountain doesn't mean people thought they were inferior or anything right I mean water is water!
Does the black fountain get cleaned though? Or have vodka being streamed to it?
domino effect please
I'm not gay, but I'm glad this happened because that means that the whole fight is a little closer to being over. No difference here at all. I can't tell the difference. Exactly the same. Anyone who says otherwise is AN AGENT OF SATAN AND HATES AMERICA! :911:
People keep on saying I think non-segregated water fountains are wrong when I'm saying that I disagree with them. Give blacks something else. Anything else.
Your disagreeing with the act that you aforementioned, while I was disagreeing with a term, not the act.
Your disagreeing with the act that you aforementioned, while I was disagreeing with a term, not the act.
what makes you qualified to disagree with the term? Language is fluid and evolves over time as words are adapted to meet changing times. nitpicking about the usage of the word is pedantism and, as it's standing in the way of equality (the words we use are an important part of equality), it's harmful as well [editline]27th June 2011[/editline] nerrrrd

The only reason it seems like I care so much is that I need to respond to a lot of questions and complaints.
Your disagreeing with the act that you aforementioned, while I was disagreeing with a term, not the act.
So when two gay people get together in a governmentally-recognized union, why not call it anything other than marriage as it is entirely similar to the concept?
Debating is all about disagreeing. The only reason it seems like I care so much is that I need to respond to a lot of questions and complaints.
Nobody's forcing you to respond. You could just leave and we wouldn't give a fuck.
Debating is all about disagreeing. The only reason it seems like I care so much is that I need to respond to a lot of questions and complaints.
sounds like back pedalling to me
Nobody's forcing you to respond. You could just leave and we wouldn't give a fuck.
I never said anyone was, but I like to state my point. You guys seem to really care about this issue.
