I live in Estonia and we have to pay 6,82 USD for a gallon.
Up here in good ol'Maine our gas prices never grow a large amount.
2.7$ a liter or 10.64$/gallon in USD's here in Norway.
I find it funny how people say gas is so expensive. A lot of work, energy, and time goes into turning crude oil into vehicle grade fuel. All those don't come cheap. I mean sure I fucking hate spending 45 bucks to fill my 11 gallon tank. However compared to many other fluids we buy, it's dirt cheap in the US. Hell, orange juice is like at least 5 bucks a gallon. Other fruit juices are pretty expensive too. Same with milk. A gallon of milk can be upwards of 3.50 or more.
Soda also costs more than a gallon of gas. A 2 liter bottle is about 3 bucks. There are over 3.75 liters in a gallon. Pancake syrup (event the cheap shit) is also more per gallon than gas.
The only reason why it seems like it's so expensive is because it's usually purchased in large quantities, which adds up pretty fast.
People also seem to forget that a gallon is a fairly large amount of fluid. The average adult human male contains roughly 1.5 gallons of blood.
So before you continue bitching, try buying 11 gallons of milk and see how much it'll cost you.
I would rate you all optimistic but i'm too lazy. OPEC nations can keep oil prices high if they wanted. They just need to reduce the daily production a lil bit.
when you consider that 3 years ago it was $1.80 a gallon yeah it's pretty bad
I don't recall gas being a buck-80 three years ago. I remember it being that price closer to the turn of the century (1999,2000,2001,etc)Even so. As gas prices go up, so does public outrage. This creates a bigger incentive to find alternate, more efficient fuels.

One of the few XJ220s ever made and it rots here. of all places. Ive been there and seen it. It's a horrible sight and tells you how much the richer people here sqaunder their time and money.
Aftermath of a dust storm.
Nice to see oil falling but the garages are VERY slow to put their prices down after putting them up in a heartbeat. Petrol should be about 15p a litre cheaper than it is and they are very, very slowly putting the price down but as soon as something bad happens they'll put it back up the next day.
The real robbers are the government, something like 70% of our fuel cost is tax, petrol should be £0.55 per liter at raw cost, instead we pay £1.36 after taxes.
