I hated Halo 4. I didn't even end up finishing it.
I pushed through it, but hated it so much. The level designs were super generic. Level design is a big gripe I have with Halo games. Halo 3 probably did the greatest job in that department among other things. Honestly, I'd rather just have Halo 3 Remastered
i didn't have my xbox when 4 released, i've been meaning to get around to playing it and i'd appreciate if someone could maybe not spoil a pretty big element of the story? what's so hard about having people that did play it when it released click a black box at the sake of not spoiling it for others?
Would you have a go at somebody in public for discussing the outcome of Halo 4 with a friend audibly?
i'd probably tell them that i haven't finished x series (which i often do and others ask me to do also). and most of the time they'd talk about it in a way as not to spoil it also, your 'scientific proof' about spoilers is entirely subjective. i hate spoilers with a passion, i had the breaking bad finale entirely spoiled and i found that there was much less tension than there would be if it wasn't
My arguments are: 1) It's a AAA title; everyone who wanted to play has beaten it by now. 2) If you didn't buy the game by now, you're not interested in it to begin with, so spoilers shouldn't be an issue.
I almost never buy AAA titles at release because they cost an arm and a leg.
i'd probably tell them that i haven't finished x series (which i often do and others ask me to do also). and most of the time they'd talk about it in a way as not to spoil it
So you'd literally approach a stranger in public and say something like, "hey guys, I haven't finished the game/movie/book that you guys are talking about, despite it having been out for two years. Mind not talking about it so loudly?" You're literally asking everyone else in the world to censor their conversations for your benefit?
Did you know it's been scientifically proven that most of the time people actually enjoy a story more once it's been 'spoiled' for them? People nowadays need to get their heads out of their asses about spoilers and just FUCKING ENJOY the content. Quit worrying about it. Alxnotorious is entirely right. If you haven't played Halo 4 by now that's your own damn fault. After this long you can't expect the ENTIRE world to censor their conversations for your benefit, be that in a forum, or when sitting they're sitting down and having a discussion over lunch. Grow up and get your head out of your ass. </rant>
i'm not expecting "the entire world" to censor their conversations, you could just use spoiler tags and still have that discussion with other people who have played/watched/read the thing there is no reason for not spoiler tagging spoilers, it doesn't take much time to type in 9 symbols and it doesn't actually affect the conversation in any way except for not spoiling it for people who haven't played/watched/read whatever the spoiler is for
So you'd literally approach a stranger in public and say something like, "hey guys, I haven't finished the game/movie/book that you guys are talking about, despite it having been out for two years. You're literally asking everyone else in the world to censor their conversations for your benefit?
shit like that happens on trains/buses all the time here, so yes i actually would. most of the time people are polite about not spoiling things and will do as you ask this also isn't real life, so i don't know why you're bringing it up. two different forms of communication entirely; i could understand in some circumstances irl, but on a forum it's literally like writing 'spoilers' and putting [sp] around your post
As a wish for this title I hope there's a big war mission like the Tip of the Spear in Reach but where you could actually play it and perhaps you can see the people from ODST in a Falcon/Hornet with Rookie being a new Spartan I'd love it so much if you could even play as your multiplayer Spartan in there if you're playing co-op with a friend.
If that Spartan on top is Sarah Palmer and not Kelly I'll be soooo disappointed.
The Spartan-IV on the front isn't Sarah Palmer because she/he is wearing armor that doesn't match Sarah Palmer's armor (look at the shoulders, they aren't SCOUT variants), her/his first and secondary colors are white, and her/his visor is blue. I think it's Gabriel Thorne, one of the Crimson spartans, or a comeback of a Spartan-II. Don't know. EDIT: There's a ONI symbol on the chest plate. ONI wanted to replace the Spartan-II's with Spartan-IV's and they ordered Palmer to assassinate Halsey.

I mean there has to be some quantifiable point at which, if you've not seen, read or played something then it's your fault if you have it spoiled. Like, I'm sorry, but if you expect someone to spoiler tag the fact that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father then you're incredibly out of touch with reality. That shit is free game now, and it's up to YOU to get to that before someone 'spoils' it for you.
I can't wait for more of Sarah Palmer's Egghead Adventures!
halo 4 released less than a year and a half ago, the last star wars movie released in 2005.
You've italicised 2005 like that's somehow meaningful. What if Halo 4 had been released TWO AND A HALF years ago? Would that be okay then?
i don't particularly care for your pointless spoiler science, i'm just saying it's not hard to judge for yourself what needs to be spoiler tagged. most of everyone knows what happened in starwars because it's a titan franchise and has actually had a bit of a following for having people spoil the story for others, where halo hasn't
i don't particularly care for your pointless spoiler science, i'm just saying it's not hard to judge for yourself what needs to be spoiler tagged. most of everyone knows what happened in starwars because it's a titan franchise
And? In the gaming world so is Halo.
And? In the gaming world so is Halo.
why are you being so awkward? it's not hard to apply a little bit of common sense in to what you should and shouldn't spoiler tag i sure as hell haven't had anyone crack jokes about halo spoilers like i have with star wars
why are you being so awkward? it's not hard to apply a little bit of common sense in to what you should and shouldn't spoiler tag
I'm not being awkward. If anything it's awkward to demand that everyone else censor their conversations around you because you don't want something spoiled. The way I see it, when a movie has run its course in the cinemas it's free game for spoiling. I reckon the same amount of time roughly should apply to games and books. Six months should be plenty of time for you to get around to seeing/playing/reading something. If you don't get around to it in that time it's obviously not that important for you, so if it's spoiled... deal with it.

Introducing a new ability! Now, in addition to your armor abilities, you also have crotch custimaization. Thats right, you can either have extra ammo, higher jumps, or even a hyper beam! Also Halo 3 equipment is back!
I wish they would make the Spartans more like the book. It would be like Vanquish on drugs with the ability to jump 5 stories. Although the communication between Spartans would be not talking but head and arm movements.
i liked reach's level design, but everything was very dull in contrast to 3. even when you take a look at the multiplayer maps, Forge World is insanely dull compared to Sandbox
uh, in my honest opinion Sandbox is a tonne more dull than than Forge World also reach has best multiplayer (despite armor lock) because its netcode isn't terrible like 3 and it just feels more responsive and polished(?)
idk, i just think forerunner architecture is boring as anything though i have to agree with you on mp, i've been playing a lot of reach matchmaking recently and it's still really good
I hope its like the first four and not the actual four
well they fired the guy who planned to make halo more "Accessible" and also was responsible for Halo 4 and replaced him with the guy who was the creative director on the new tomb raider game and republic commando. so if that isn't a sign that the next game will probably be good i dont know what will.

They were so fucking boring to the the point I wanted to turn the game off right after 2 hours.
I still want to suggest Halo: Odyssey as a possibility for a great game. Starting from the moment the Arbiter leaves earth it covers his journey home as he fights whatever's left of the Covenant.
halo is slowly turning into an anime
