Uh they did. They bombarded fuck loads of targets in Lebanon and Iranian-made bunkers saved the day, then Hezbollah used their artillery to bombard Haifa and Tel Aviv.
1. Tel Aviv was never targeted during that war. 2. The Hezbollah stockpile took a massive blow during that conflict.
I represent America. We are probably not going to stay out of this even if we should.
They still won and their stockpile was still effective against Haifa.
What do you mean "won"? What constitutes a win exactly? Managing to actually give somewhat of a fight? In the end of the day, the vast majority of Hezbollah's power was derived from the fact that the IDF were going in without even knowing what they want to do, and handicapped themselves in every way they can. If the IAF managed to get the authorization to napalm the reserves, do you really think there would have been any resistance left in that area?

Shortly after its stockpiles were larger than prior and all the Israeli's got was an international embarrassment, military brass handing in resignations and a realisation that they needed to train their Officers more than once every four years.
What happened in Lebanon is what happens when a government leadership gives a partially neglected army an attack order for obscure reasons with even more obscure objectives. [editline]14th July 2013[/editline]
all the Israeli's got was an international embarrassment, military brass handing in resignations and a realisation that they needed to train their Officers more than once every four years.
As a guy with several friends in northern Israel, allow me to fucking disagree. The northern border was constantly targeted with missiles before the war, and after exiting Lebanon, it calmed down completely and has remained that way ever since. If that's not an achievement, I don't know what is.
But they were only flinging missiles at Israel to provoke it in the first place, so they did successfully and scored international kudos for it. Mission accomplished.
