A nice update for L4D1/2 would be to get all the code changes etc working and just release it, because why not.
I doubt it. Look at Evolve. Even if they did make it, a release exactly a year after the original is a terrible idea in its own right.
Publisher (in this case 2K) is the one who decides pricing of DLCs. You can't really blame Turtle Rock Studios because they didn't kill Evolve. 2K did, also even if they did finish Left 4 Dead, Turtle Rock Studios would not publish it, Valve would.
There were some great custom campaigns for L4D+2 but compared to the insane amount of custom maps and mods for every other source game it was basically a failure.
Dude, there's an incredible amount of great custom campaigns for L4D2. You have to remember that one campaign is in average 4 or 5 large maps (and up to 12 maps), so it's hard to compare to HL2 or CSS or TF2. But I know there are at least 100 good custom campaigns that are worth playing for every L4D fan. I've got the list in an Excel file on my PC. [editline]6th November 2016[/editline] And I keep playing and replaying them with friends up to this day, as I've been for years.
Care to share? I remember all the fun I had with my friends in L4D2
Anyone able to download this still? I just got back from a convention, tried to download, and I got a page telling me I was forbidden.

Doesn't matter, it's there even though it's incomplete (never got around to finishing it, you can imagine it takes a lot of time). Also can't guarantee some of the last campaigns are actually good because I may not have played them yet, but most of them are definitely good.

Me and some friends also regularly play some custom maps a few times every year.
can anyone mirror? it's not letting me access the file.
I really want TRS to release their l4d to the public, the one that was shown in really early footage.
