There are maybe three companies on this list that don't deserve the title more than EA.
So yeah EA is gonna win it again.
Do they get an award sent to them if they win?
Organize as many people as you can to send a small trophy engraved Worst Company 2014 to the winning companies headquarters
Despite their fuckups this past year, I'm hoping TimeWarner, Comcast, or Microsoft "win" this time over EA. TW/Comcast for their RIDICULOUS monopoly and poor service, Microsoft for their planned anti-consumer policies that EA at their most sadistic could only dream of. Sure, there's the banks but chances are good they won't listen to something like this.
Man that's tough, all those fine corporations deserve the award.
I'm pretty sure most of 4chan (and the gaming community in general) never had to deal with TWC or Comcast...
because, you know, their parents had to deal with it.
True, if anything I've found TWC not too terrible to deal with in my area (customer service was nice). The only really awful thing about them is that their store employees suck and their prices are ridiculously high for the service they offer. Then there is the annoying bit about how TWC and Comcast seem to be out to destroy any form of competition and turn internet service into an extortion business.
My vote is for monsanto. They are effectively the poster child for lack of fucks given when it comes to caring about the world they live in in exchange for profits. If anything, I think a lot of water companies, Monsanto, Coca Cola and mass manufacturing firms should be up there. EA might make a shit game, but they haven't caused villages to die out or towns to starve because of their shenanigans.
Verizon.
Why isn't AT&T on this list, with their stupid lobbying about having the internet in their back pocket?
edit:
wait they are, hopefully AT&T gets the message
But they are on the list, going against microsoft
It's going to come down to Microsoft & EA in the grand final for sure
It's going to come down to Microsoft & EA in the grand final for sure
Why would Microsoft Earn the worst company in America? You really think Microsoft deserves to win worst company in America vs. say, Monsanto or Wells Fargo?

They're the ones who react the best to it so yes.
Wow, look, internet EA circle jerk. If only valve had EA's return policy and customer service.
watch EA win it for a third time and not give a real fuck about it, even if they claim to
A now, a letter from our CEO:

Except unlike any other company on the list, they actually do give a fuck and have been trying to change for the past two years. The first year it was Mass Effect 3's ending which they at least tried to address by changing the ending; and last year it was Sim City, which they're releasing offline mode after massive feedback. I can't think of anything EA has done this year to give people a hate boner other than being EA. Battlefield 4 and Titanfall both released with no issues.

Thats why I voted for EA because its just a dumb poll and so many people get angry its hilarious

Battlefield 4 is still mostly riddled with bugs and Titanfall had a few problems re: the online stuff.
I don't see King.com up there, you'd figure they would be after all they shit they've done this year so far.
Only reason microsoft is on there is because people are still butthurt about w8.
Shouldnt be up there imo
Titanfall had a few problems re: the online stuff.
For like, 3 hours after launch. It's been solid since.
Also EA still haven't admitted that they were outright lying about the Always-Online DRM of SimCity, since anyone with any decent computer knowledge new it was a load of bullshit in how "parts of the game had to be simulated by EA's servers".
Then they released that Dungeon Keeper Mobile game which is absolutely disgusting.
And the changes to the Mass Effect 3 ending really didn't change jack shit and it was still a terrible let down to the entire fucking series which completely ruined several years of decent build up.
Then there's the new PvZ game which is awful and Peggle 2 where they turned Bjorn into some weirder character.
You've also got to remember that EA killed a lot of series which were really good, like C&C and the Sims and various other titles. And they still haven't apologised for fucking shit up. They're also making their own Moba: Dawngate, which is a waste of time since practically nobody will want to play it because the Moba market is full.
EA hasn’t made any major blunders since SimCity,
Um, what?
Also EA still haven't admitted that they were outright lying about the Always-Online DRM of SimCity, since anyone with any decent computer knowledge new it was a load of bullshit in how "parts of the game had to be simulated by EA's servers".
Have you ever thought that maybe they are telling the truth? And that they did design the system around being online? If you ever programmed on a project before, you'd know that sometimes the simplest change requires massive amount of code overhaul.
You've also got to remember that EA killed a lot of series which were really good, like C&C and the Sims and various other titles. And they still haven't apologised for fucking shit up.
I can't say much for Sims, but for C&C they obviously do care about it. Their latest C&C game they cancelled themselves because they realized it was an unfun piece of shit. And then on top of that, they greenlight that C&C Renegade fangame while any other company would have given them a cease-and-desist.
What has EA improved in response to these? I can't think of anything. They rushed BF4 out the door in a near unplayable condition, assuming it was them and not DICE.
There are some REALLY evil companies on this list. And when I say really evil, I mean the kind of companies that have execs that laugh and take pleasure in actual human suffering.
For Christ's sake, Koch is on there. Seriously.
And don't forget they're funding a Mirror's Edge 2 despite the fact that the first Mirror's Edge wasn't as commercially successful as they had hoped.
Thats why I voted for EA because its just a dumb poll and so many people get angry its hilarious
He has a point though. EA at least doesn't treat employees like cattle and they don't lobby to make the country go to fucking war.
Koch, Monsanto, and Chase are all extremely horrid and corrupt companies that should be destroyed immediately.

I used to be a huge Walmart apologist but I am now convinced they're one of the worst.
I used to be a huge Walmart apologist but I am now convinced they're one of the worst.
As much as I dislike Walmart, they have nothing - and I mean NOTHING - on shit like the companies I've named earlier. Koch is a monster of a company that bribes politicians around the world, Monsanto is directly linked to the death of many innocent people, and Chase is one of the primary reasons why our economy collapsed back in 2008 and they still haven't changed.
[editline]18th March 2014[/editline]
I'm pretty certain Walmart isn't destroying our economy or killing people as far as I know.
