the problem with a competition like this is the ratio of terribleness/likeliness of a response. a company on the terribleness level of EA would definitely respond, albeit with a letter (rightly) calling you an idiot for voting for them, whereas Monsanto would just send genetically modified spider hitmen and not even give them a note.

EA are shit but they have actually tried to change for the better. They removed the online pass system, they did that awesome indie bundle, removed Sim city's online shit, improved origin and gave it a good refund policy and funded ME 2 despite ME 1 flopping. Granted, they did fuck up with dungeon keeper and BF4 but at least they did some good. Even if EA does change completely, will it stop the hate that is practically everywhere you go on the internet? Something tells me it won't. Look at the other companies on this list and tell me if this award would even remotely motivate them to change their ways like it has done for EA.

Time Warner is worse than EA. I can refuse to buy EA games but people in certain areas are forced to buy their shitty service and get bent over for mediocre bandwidth and bad customer service. I bet the only reason they put them together is so that EA might not win this time. Time Warner is a really bad company and it makes the decision harder for it vs EA.

I can't believe that people actually think EA is even worse than even a quarter of the companies on this list.

I think the big issue with this (other than pissed of nerds) is most of the truly awful companies on the list are umbrella corporations. The general public don't see their names or interact with these corporations anywhere near regularly. So when they see Koch vs. EA for example, of course they're likely to vote the one the actually do see and interact with. Because researching takes effort and fuck that noise.
