Teen suspended from school for possible sexual harassment of a teacher - all he did was her a hug

Was it a good hug at least?
Maybe a bit of grinding/dry humping. Sniff o' the hair and all that jazz.

It happens when I post without having my coffee :v:
so much judging in this thread
It's extremely unlikely that he'd still be suspended if his teacher didn't feel legitimately disturbed.
Hugging doesn't have to be sexual (and it usually isn't), but the way he did it in that video really sent some "creep alert" vibes towards me.
EDIT: Also, am I the only one who was more interested in that "20th Century Fox" Theme Park mentioned in the news ticker going on below the video?
I go to Duluth and I know the teacher and the kid. Everyone who knows him says he deserved it, even his old football coach. One of his warnings from last year came from telling a teacher that he wanted to kiss her all the way up her leg. I think it's dumb as hell that he's trying to play victim when he was a dumb ass especially when in every interview he does he repeats this bs about how "she might have been having a bad day and just needed a hug."
What a creep.

People would hug a lot more if it weren't for super sexualized weirdos trying their best for any sort of physical contact they can weird up.
touchy feely people are weird
not only was it unwanted and unwarranted (which is evidenced by how quickly she shoved him away) he blindsides her with it, which can be uncomfortable even if it's someone you WANT hugging you. and he kissed on the neck? that's just fucking weird. it's obviously harassment
Normally when we get these articles about the US it's some toddler giving his teacher a hug or something, this time it's just downright creepy.
Granted or not, a year for HUGGING someone seems a bit harsh?

Hugging and neck kissing someone that has made it clear that they don't want to be hugged and are trying to push you away. At first it seemed like the school being unreasonable to me, but after reading into the facts it's pretty clear that he was acting overly intimate in an unsettling manner
I'm pretty sure that is the general consensus of this whole section of the forums.
a year for intense sexual harassment on a faculty member
it would impact their ability to teach class when near that student
But again like holy shit "Maybe they needed a hug!" Yeah then again maybe they were doing just fucking fine and didn't need a hug
Surveillance video captures the hug in question, showing Sam placing his arms around the teacher and giving her a hug. The teacher then pushes him away.
According to a discipline report obtained by WGCL, the teacher said Sam's lips and cheeks touched her neck and that she had warned Sam about hugging in the past.
Uh, if you're told not to do something and being pushed away and continue to do attempts then yes it is sexual harassment. While it sucks, guess what you do that type of stuff in the work place same thing will happen. Harsh lesson, should have basically stopped when told to do so.
