What has impacted your life more. The Legend of Zelda or The arrogant stuck up dickface advertising character on the right.
Hey look, Apple hate on Facepunch. This is new.

Pretty much got me into both PC games and strategic thinking.
They both are jokes at this point. I don't care if they both are successful in terms of making money. Super Mario Galaxy 2? No one wants that shit, just one was fine. iPad? Fuck no.
I actually disagree, I'm pretty excited about Super Mario Galaxy 2. Although Nintendo isn't as mordern any more, they're kind off falling behind.
I'm almost in tears. Nintendo, remember those gamers who stood out in the cold, waiting for the very first n64? Those basement dwellers who brought you through the Sega VS Nintendo era? Those gamers who rejoiced when Twilight Princess was announced, FOUR FUCKING YEARS BEFORE IT WAS RELEASED?? We are still here, and we hate you now. You've left us in the dark, you've decided to "revolutionize" gaming by introducing infomercial quality fitness systems and forcing innovative (confusing and fickle) controls down our throats. Now you want to fight a company that isn't even involved in gaming. Remember what you said during the N64 era? Why it didn't play CDs? "Nintendo is a gaming company, not a multimedia company." I heard your fucking president say it AGAIN during the GCN era, because the Xbox and ps2 was not built for being only a gaming system. You said it AGAIN when the Wii was released!! What the fuck, Nintendo. What the fuck. Sorry guys, my inner 11 year old fanboy had to come out for a second.
iPhone and iPod are not meant to be gaming devices.
I haven't touched my DS since I bought an iPod Touch, it's got some great stuff on the App Store, plus a lot of big DS titles end up released on it.
The only good thing Apple has released was the iPod Touch. And the rest they make the most pointless products. iPad being the worst and them to announce the iPad mini, I just facepalm'd. I'm with Nintendo.
The more competition the better.
I REALLY wanted to make a joke with that scene from Pearl Harbor with the Japanese generals. I couldn't find the picture. Fuck.
Either way the only one I would buy is the DS.
Nintendo has to stop with the cheap gimmicks and be a video-game pioneer again. [editline]02:26AM[/editline] TailsPrower speaks the truth. Lately even the big name games like Pokemon and The Legend of Zelda haven't done anything to really improve. I mean think about it. SNES - revolutionary Nintendo 64 - revolutionary Gameboy - revolutionary Pokemon - revolutionary Wii - not revolutionary
Enemy of the future? What?
i don't know just how hard i'm supposed to laugh. closed marketing, strictly managed accessibility and promotion of ignorance VS milky sequels to classics from the 80s, pornographic JRPGs with a laughably low polygon count and the worst gimmicks this side of anaglyph. I can't even attempt to get profane enough to express how box that is. could someone profanize for me?
N1n10doh! [editline]08:21PM[/editline]
Nintendo has to stop with the cheap gimmicks and be a video-game pioneer again. [editline]02:26AM[/editline] TailsPrower speaks the truth. I hate them both.

Good thing you didn't mention the DS because then I'd just call you bonkers.
Well, I hope both of them get their asses handed back to themselves on a golden platter. Would teach both of them to go back to what made them famous in the first place. Real go-getter-money-maker innovation. Though that is unlikely to ever happen, they kind of abandoned their roots with their newer products.
I think the Wii controler is pretty innovative. [editline]08:31PM[/editline]
I'm almost in tears. Nintendo, remember those gamers who stood out in the cold, waiting for the very first n64?
How is a low price motion controlled console aimed at pretty much all age groups not revolutionary? Good thing you didn't mention the DS because then I'd just call you bonkers.
Motion control is ancient. It's not even the first time Nintendo used Motion control. And Nintendo has pushed games for all age groups since they started making video games. Why do you think NOA had such fascist censorship policies employed in the 80s and early 90s? The only difference between the idea of Wii and say, the NES is that the old people right now are less afraid that video games are a hellspawn and more interested in things that look shiny and new. Also DS: "Hey we came up with an idea that worked. Let's make another version that's only slightly different. And another, and another, and another..."

Also DS: The consumers bought it while technically buying one of them would be enough.
Xbox all the way
iPhone and iPod are not meant to be gaming devices.
Although it is a gaming platform, right....

the Wii hasn't had a good game since Brawl came out
Nintendo has been going down hill lately. I'm not going to take sides since I like both Apple and Nintendo.
Nintendo was awesome before, it's now a gimmick-spouting peace of shit company (there are a few good games on the DS and wii, though).
A somewhat OK music player? iPods are possibly the best music players out there; the only thing coming close being the Zune HD
iPods have mediocre sound quality, and had shit for features up until around three years ago. [editline]10:42PM[/editline]
Although it is a gaming platform, right....
Do you sit for hours playing games on your iPod Touch/iPhone? Didn't think so. I spend maybe 10 minutes a day playing "Quest" on my iPod and the rest is listening to music or checking my Facebook.
Pah, Nintendo! They have no chance against Apple's mighty Pippin!
don't care for either.
I'm still waiting for my console pokemon game
The only good thing that came from apple was the iPod.
