can someone please explain to me what the fuck Chick-Fil-A is and why it's been all over the headlines recently please?
try reading the OP or the thread
if you acknowledge that and you still give them money, you are a homophobe
Um not really. Just that he's willing to compromise for good food.
Um not really. Just that he's willing to compromise for good food.
give me convenience or give me death!
Um not really. Just that he's willing to compromise for good food.
if you choose GSM equality over fast food you're probably a homophobe dude I hate to break it to you
How the hell is he funding hate groups? This whole thing was not organized by chick-fil-a by any means, it was organized by a bunch of stupid fucking politicians.
Chick Fil A contributes millions of dollars to groups such as Exodus International, which have drafted and endorsed (later approved) legislation in Uganda (among other places) which calls for the death of homosexuals. They accomplished that by going to AIDS-ridden parts of Africa and saying it's God's punishment because they aren't killing all of the queers. So now Uganda kills all of the queers. [editline]2nd August 2012[/editline]
http://www.snopes.com/politics/sexuality/chickfila.asp http://equalitymatters.org/factcheck/201207020001 here are some wonderful organizations which they use your proceeds to support: Focus on the Family Pennsylvania Family Institute Winshape Foundation Eagle Forum Marriage and Family Foundation Family Research Council
You failed to mention Exodus International. [editline]2nd August 2012[/editline]
one of the groups chick fil-a gave money to lobbied congress to not condemn uganda's "kill the homosexuals" law. so i guess they did
And one of the other groups lobbied in Uganda to actually get that law passed.
you are funding hate groups. if you acknowledge that and you still give them money, you are a homophobe
I have no idea how the logic in that statement of yours works. Maybe ignorant, even stupid, but that really doesn't make someone a homophobe. On that note, I'm still going to eat there. They provide a service (chicken, waffle fries and milkshakes), and they do a damn good job. The corporation can do what they'd like with their money, people didn't even have a problem with who they gave their money to until the CEO came out with his opinion, which I think he should be able to do. Do I agree? No. But the man is old as hell, and I can't say I'm surprised. He's entitled to do what he wants with his corporation's money, in the same way other corporations choose to support gays.
can someone please explain to me what the fuck Chick-Fil-A is and why it's been all over the headlines recently please?
CEO is anti-gay, iirc he funds anti-gay groups
I think this guy has the right idea. I don't give two shits about anti-gay, gay stuff, I just want to eat my waffle fries. Have fun arguing with each other.
Congratulations on your apathy. Go back to not giving a shit quietly instead of yelling about how many shits you don't give. [editline]2nd August 2012[/editline]
SonofBrim;37059394']The corporation can do what they'd like with their money
Such as sending it to people who start lynch mobs. FYI the CEO commented because the corporation's charitable tax returns became public and people got mad because they were funding lynch mobs. You can not give all the fucks you want, but don't pretend you're a man of principle for it if your fucking chicken is more important than taking money away from a bunch of fucking killers.
you are funding hate groups. if you acknowledge that and you still give them money, you are a homophobe
i donated to a church, im christian
you are funding hate groups. if you acknowledge that and you still give them money, you are a homophobe
They may be hypocrites, have no self control, or don't give a fuck but by calling them homophobes you're just being cynical and looking to point fingers. If you didn't live up to your title so well maybe you would realize that.
They're basically the same as the mcchicken. Probably not even as good as the Chicken selects at McDonalds though.
I feel sorry for your taste buds
I think this guy has the right idea. I don't give two shits about anti-gay, gay stuff, I just want to eat my waffle fries. Have fun arguing with each other.
I am starting to sound like a broken record but you realize you can buy those fries yourself and make them at home, right? Waffle fries aren't a trade secret of Chick Fil A. It'd be cheaper, more convenient, potentially even healthier and tastier to just buy your own and stick them in the oven. That way you get your waffle fries and gay people don't have to face corporate backed legislation that keeps them from having the same rights as you do.
I have been incensed at the vitriolic assaults on the Chick Fil-A company because the CEO, Dan Cathy, made comments recently in which he affirmed his view that the Biblical view of marriage should be upheld. The Cathy family, led by Chick Fil-A founder Truett Cathy, are a wonderful Christian family who are committed to operating the company with Biblical principles and whose story is the true American success story. Starting at age 46 Truett Cathy built Chick Fil-A into a $4 billion a year enterprise with over 1600 stores. At 91, he is still active in the company, but his son Dan runs it day to day as CEO.It's a great American story that is being smeared by vicious hate speech and intolerant bigotry from the left. The Chick Fil-A company refuses to open on Sundays so that their employees can go to church if they wish. Despite the pressure from malls, airports, and the business world to open on Sundays, they still don't. They treat customers and employees with respect and dignity. I ask you to join me in speaking out on Wednesday, August 1 "Chick Fil-A Appreciation Day.” No one is being asked to make signs, speeches, or openly demonstrate. The goal is simple: Let's affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick Fil-A on Wednesday, August 1. Too often, those on the left make corporate statements to show support for same sex marriage, abortion, or profanity, but if Christians affirm traditional values, we're considered homophobic, fundamentalists, hate-mongers, and intolerant. This effort is not being launched by the Chick Fil-A company and no one from the company or family is involved in proposing or promoting it. There's no need for anyone to be angry or engage in a verbal battle. Simply affirm appreciation for a company run by Christian principles by showing up on Wednesday, August 1 or by participating online – tweeting your support or sending a message on Facebook. PLEASE RSVP IF YOU PLAN ON PARTICIPATING AT A CHICK FIL-A OR ONLINE.
Description from the facebook thing. There's also a chick fil a in my area too, lines there were about 1h 20m for dine in and longer for the drive through " This effort is not being launched by the Chick Fil-A company and no one from the company or family is involved in proposing or promoting it."
i donated to a church, im christian
yeah that really counteracts the damage that your money has done
you are funding hate groups. if you acknowledge that and you still give them money, you are a homophobe
it doesn't really make them homophobic, just self-centered
yeah that really counteracts the damage that your money has done
Brought those gays in Uganda back to life, I'm sure. [editline]2nd August 2012[/editline]
it doesn't really make them homophobic, just self-centered
No. Self-centered is being willfully ignorant. Homophobic is "I know this is funding lynch mobs and I don't give a fuck, I want to shove fucking chicken into my face."
That's not donating, that's buying the best fucking fast food chicken ever. Donating is what those rich people do.
your money trickles down to their charitable arm which donates to hate groups
That's not donating, that's buying the best fucking fast food chicken ever. Donating is what those rich people do.
being the "best fucking fast food chicken ever" is like being the smartest kid with down's syndrome. It's the same damn chicken as everywhere else fried with more grease and less flour. It's not the second coming.
No. Self-centered is being willfully ignorant. Homophobic is "I know this is funding lynch mobs and I don't give a fuck, I want to shove fucking chicken into my face."
the latter just sounds like self-centeredness to me. it's not active hatred/fear of a group, it's just a person fulfilling their own desires without caring about anyone else
the latter just sounds like self-centeredness to me. it's not active hatred/fear of a group, it's just a person fulfilling their own desires without caring about anyone else
Apathy to life is hatred. Don't get into the fucking semantics of homophobia and hatred again as if something is only homophobic if someone behaves like Hitler. If you say to yourself "pumping myself full of low-grade chicken is more important than human life abroad," that's homophobic.
I don't know man, what else should I call people who knowingly and willingly donate money to hate groups?
Ignorant? Dumb?
No. Self-centered is being willfully ignorant. Homophobic is "I know this is funding lynch mobs and I don't give a fuck, I want to shove fucking chicken into my face."
Nope, I'm afraid he's right. Homophobic is more along the lines of fearful or hateful towards homosexuals.

Maybe you should get a fucking dictionary before you post. I know misusing words to insult people is kind of you and Sanius' thing but you don't look like any less of an idiot.
Ignorant? Dumb?
do you even know what those words mean? how are they ignorant if they know where their money is going?
SonofBrim;37059394']I have no idea how the logic in that statement of yours works. Maybe ignorant, even stupid, but that really doesn't make someone a homophobe. Would you do the same if they donated to nazis or the kkk?
That's not donating, that's buying the best fucking fast food chicken ever. Donating is what those rich people do.
there are other restaurants that serve the same if not better chicken. Hardees has some damn fine chicken strips and they don't hate gay folks.
SonofBrim;37059538']Nope, I'm afraid he's right. Homophobic is more along the lines of fearful or hateful towards homosexuals.
Same old fucking semantics. "I'm not homophobic because look at this dictionary!" Apathetic hatred is a thing.
so chik-a-fill-a is something like an american only KFC?
