Honestly, i don't give a fuck about this anymore. Each restaurant is franchise owned and the owner is entitled to their own beliefs. Chick fil a has great food and isn't staffed by ghetto workers that don't want to be there and their establishments are almost always exceptionally clean. I'll keep going there regardless of my sexual orientation.
do you even realize how horrible what you're saying is
"they keep out the ghetto trash and their filth, so i'll help them kill gay people in third world countries"
SonofBrim;37059715']And I never said you can't get angry.
then what was the point of your post
i'm a bisexual who lives dead center in the middle of a backwoods town of entirely christian white people and i'm afraid to come out to anyone in the area due to how fast word spreads and how the entire community might view me. most of the adults and their little parrot kids are very bloodthirsty conservatives who are actually supporters of chick-fil-a because of their views on homosexuality and spout bible quotes about how homosexuality is wrong. because of this, i've come to view homophobia as a very active thing. maybe my views are wrong. i'm willing to admit i don't know shit.
i can relate.
what people down here seem to think is that I and others boycott chick-fil-a for their opinions. Cathy could have said he was Hitler reincarnated to rape the firstborn of all american women and I wouldn't have given a shit. Its my money going toward groups that lobby to have gays killed in other countries or towards funding gay curative therapies that I have a problem with, and this whole fiasco is going to make me pay more attention to where I shop.
Hello third fucking semantics post in three minutes.
How is it you always end up on this side of the argument if you aren't homophobic? I've only ever seen you defending people who hate gays, never once defending gays themselves.
Eating at Chick-Fil-A only makes you homophobic if you eat there because the money goes to anti-gay groups, otherwise your either a hypocrite or ignorant.
He's also not defending homophobes at all. I have no idea how you came to that conclusion.
Guess who I am, and guess who my aunt is.

Which all of these people in this article were doing.
Would anyone support Wendy's if they donated to the KKK or some other anti-black/white power group?
So why are people sticking up for Chickfila
you are funding hate groups. if you acknowledge that and you still give them money, you are a homophobe
Your red lettering under your username match you well.
then what was the point of your post
To show my opinion on the topic.
Not everything people who disagree with you post is a direct jab at you being angry :v:
Except for right now and about a half dozen times before.
Yeah, okay. You're not a homophobe. You always just side with them on every god damn issue.
I haven't defended homophobia in this thread or any other.
I just think if you're going to argue a point, don't do fucking stupid things like misuse words to insult the other side. You just lose any credibility doing that.
SonofBrim;37059624']If the Nazis and the KKK were in the positions they are now (i.e. still a bunch of bigots, but not actively beating/killing people, at least in America), and I felt the service was deserving of my money, then yes. That's the thing with free speech and the freedom to do what you want with your money.
I have the freedom to call you a fucking idiot.
Would anyone support Wendy's if they donated to the KKK or some other anti-black/white power group?

Because all these fuckers talk a big talk but the moment principle inconveniences them it goes right out the fucking window and in come the rationalizations.
Your red lettering under your username match you well.
ok so if someone were to eat at a restaurant that put money towards lynching black people and they acknowedge it and still eat there they aren't racist????????
I haven't defended homophobia in this thread or any other.

try seeing the forest for the trees, hombre. I'm not arguing semantics just so you can keep up the homophobe apologetics.
Which all of these people in this article were doing.
Not really, they're eating there to show their support of Chick-file in general. You can't really make these assumptions about people. While I'm sure some people are doing this, many people just want to show support for their local franchises.
SonofBrim;37059797']Not really, they're eating there to show their support of Chick-file in general.
Support for their giving millions of dollars to hate groups who incite lynch mobs in third world countries.
Yeah, really. That's fucking homophobia. Fuck the local goddamn franchises. They're willfully handing over fucking blood money, fully aware of what it's being used for. Fuck everyone involved. People are dying, I give cero shits about whether the local Chick Fil A has a good quarter.
i can relate.

oh yeah, a lot of people down here seem to think that it's just chick-fil-a's opinion, and i have to remind them that an opinion backed by millions of dollars is a pretty important opinion.
the weird thing is that we have a bunch of lesbians down here (who are accepted because lesbians are hot, of course) and even they're all obama-hating gung-ho military conservatives. it's kind of creepy when even the gays are voting for homophobic people

Tell her that the ceo funds organizations that ruin lives and kill people. Just don't even mention that those people happen to be gay.

That's like saying "I support my sister's attempts of murder because she's my family"
If you were that apathetic about the whole issue, why would you spend hours waiting in line to pay real money for a chicken sandwich to show how much you don't care.
The only people who went were there to say they hate gays.
try seeing the forest for the trees, hombre. I'm not arguing semantics just so you can keep up the homophobe apologetics.
Believe it or not, looking at the argument as a whole, I'm on the same side as you are.
I just think that if you're going to argue a point, you should make it logical and sensible. Otherwise you're just helping the other side by looking like an idiot.
"they're not forcing their opinion on anyone"
yeah say that to gay people in the world who fear for their life
If Chick Fil A was literally the only source of chicken for 50 miles I wouldn't blame them but come on it's mediocre fast food chicken. Get that shit somewhere else.
There is a wealth of other protein out there even if that was the only chick fil a for 100 miles.
Honestly, I never even heard about Chick-Fil-A before this entire shitstorm.
I think the best solution to all this is to go and eat at a Mom and Pops chicken place. That way you can support small business, get the food you want, and not be a morally bankrupt homophobe.
Support for their giving millions of dollars to hate groups who incite lynch mobs in third world countries.
They didn't give them millions of dollars, it was 25 thousand. (Though a penny is too much anyways). So to put that into perspective -Chick Fil A has a revenue of $4 billions dollars, if you were to spend $10 million dollars on their chicken sandwiches only 2 cents would have gone to that.
SonofBrim;37059797']Not really, they're eating there to show their support of Chick-file in general. You can't really make these assumptions about people. While I'm sure some people are doing this, many people just want to show support for their local franchises.
Yeah but you know, as everyone keeps saying when you give them money, you are literally paying for people getting killed in uganda. Part the money you give the company goes directly to exodus intl.

Exodus International is not the only hate group they give money to.
The total is 2-3 million dollars annually.
FYI $25,000 annually goes a long way in UGANDA. It didn't cost a million dollars to incite a witch hunt.
Two things I've learned from this thread. Don't eat at Chick-Fil-A unless you're a homophobe(or something along those lines), and don't get in an argument with Lankist.

Dissolution of responsibility as an argumentative tactic, that's a new one.
