Once again:
How is "I don't care if I'm paying for gays to be executed, I love chicken more than their lives" anything but hateful?
Apathetic hatred is a thing. Stop arguing fucking semantics. See the forest for the trees.
no if you do that you're a cunt
it's easy to harp about freedom when it's not happening to you
All this diminishing is hilariously one-sided.
that's because you're making completely retarded points that anyone with half a brain could pick apart, and lankist is using a definition of homophobia which he's explained multiple times

you're talking about apathy like it's a magical state of mind that frees you from responsibility
hint; it doesn't
nothing does that

You have discovered my secret.
I bought food from Chick Fil A now i'm a gay hating asshole, damn my own opinions.
why are you posting this
ya because the economy relies on cheap chicken
What? So just because OPEC is a larger, more economically-powerful conglomerate means that they're more immune from criticism? That sounds like hypocrisy to me.
Heh, I work at chick fil a and I wasn't there to witness the chaos but one of my co-workers said that some guy came in an asked for, "2 Non-faggot sandwiches"
I don't know this company well, because I live in the north, the only thing I've heard of them from is that they used to fund PBS shows which I watched a lot as a kid.
Aside from all this, is the food good?

"Oh OPEC doesn't count because their product is more essential to our economy and thus we can just gloss over the fact that their extremist agenda is okay because we need what they're selling."
I'm just saying that if we're going to get upset over Chik-Fil-A's anti-gay agenda (It has the right to be anti-gay, even though we don't agree with it, due to free speech. It works both ways, even if their ideas that are protected are bigoted and awful.) then there should be headlines blowing up over every other corporation that supports bad things with the money it makes 24/7 like this thing with Chik-Fil-A has. A vast majority of corporations support things that are awful in some way or another, be it through direct funding or some other means, but it seems only Chik-Fil-A matters right now.

it's noble but unreasonable to expect everyone to stop using petroleum because it hurts gay people. if someone doesn't want to do it because their livelihood depends on it i can understand that.
you don't have to eat fast-food chicken. it's not comparable.

You still haven't provided proof that opec is anti-gay

and you come to the thread to brag about giving money to an organization that funds the execution of gays. whats wrong with you?
You still haven't provided proof that opec is anti-gay
To be fair, I believed it was more of an assumption based on the member countries of OPEC and the fact that most of them base their law off of Sharia law.

Ok, maybe I went a bit too far ahead of myself, and I do see your point. However, I still believe that if OPEC is truly anti-gay (an assumption, mind you), then we shouldn't exclude them from any protest, economic or otherwise. Although economic protest against an organization like OPEC would be incredibly difficult, there are other forms of protest against them you could do. Of course, that's assuming they're anti-gay at all.

"Just because I support hate groups that kill gays doesn't mean I'm a homophobe guys!"
You still haven't provided proof that opec is anti-gay
the only info i found was that a lot of people are using it as an argument to defend chicfila but i can't find any source
You still haven't provided proof that opec is anti-gay
I can't seem to find any real statistics at the moment because a Google search yields nothing but conservatives using my same argument all over Facebook. :v:
Even if the OPEC argument can't be backed due to my being unable to find any real evidence right now, OPEC can be substituted with any number of other corporations that support anti-gay movements, both in the United States and abroad.
My point is why is Chik-Fil-A, out of all the corporations that have intolerant religious roots, being so vehemently harangued? It seems minute in comparison to so many other corporations' terrible actions, but of course all of those issues are just ignored or people simply say "oh nothing can be done about them."

because it caught public attention and they are a very religious company. why shouldn't they be attacked like this for oppressing people?

so your issue is everyone being topical
chik-fil-a is currently the most immediate conversation starter when it comes to companies supporting anti-gay groups. i don't get your point.

Because it appears that everyone would rather have their precious chicken, which you can get at almost anywhere, than have people somewhere else not suffer.
"But it's good!" Is not a fucking excuse.
because it caught public attention and they are a very religious company. why shouldn't they be attacked like this for oppressing people?
Why don't all the other terrible corporations get the spotlight? I guess because their product is more essential to our conveniences or something that makes their evils negligible.
Why don't all the other terrible corporations get the spotlight? I guess because their product is more essential to our conveniences or something that makes their evils negligible.
Because they aren't confronted with giving money to people who incite lynch mobs only to reply "guilty as charged."

like i said it's not comparable. you can stop eating chicken from a single place without any real cost to your well-being. not using fuel is a completely different matter.
Facebook is a poor source methinks.
Which is why I'm not citing it and why I partially retracted my argument on the grounds of me not having any real statistics and only the idea that OPEC's member countries are anti-gay, which OPEC's incomes supports. i.e. I'm admitting I don't have any real evidence.
Why don't all the other terrible corporations get the spotlight? I guess because their product is more essential to our conveniences or something that makes their evils negligible.
wow what a fucking poor assumption
no it's because something happened that sparked public debate over it. how is this hard to understand
