Trillion to one find - all eggs in box had double yolks

she was eggspecting one but got more for the yolk
This is an example of a very bad application of probability, just because a double egg occurs once every 100 eggs, that doesn't necessarily mean 6 eggs in one box = 1/100^6 of it happening. It's more likely that some environmental or genetic factor in the particular chicken coop results in a disproportionate amount of double eggs from those chickens, and I doubt eggs are randomly picked and put into boxes, so it's very likely all the eggs came from the same coop.
This reminds me of some story I heard about a while ago about how some disease or something in children whose cause isn't fully understood but could also be attributed to bad parenting and because this occurred twice in the family, in court the prosecution argued that there's no way that this could have been the form where the parent wasn't at fault because the probability of it happening was in the trillions.
That's pretty eggceptional.
That chance is the biggest load of bullshit and I can account from experience. I bought a dozen box last year that had more than 6 double yolked eggs. There's no way I was that lucky. If I was I should be on the fucking news.
The one in a trillion odds thing doesn't make any sense.
How do we know she didn't x-ray a bunch of eggs, pick out 6 double-yokers, then hoax the whole thing?
Or crack 12 eggs and hide 6 shells
I'll bet she wasn't eggspecting that one.
Because an x-ray machine is VERY expensive, and not very easy to hide? She probably just held the eggs up to a light. :downs:

I always get a double yolk or two from a store nearby when I get a carton of eggs.
You can buy double yolk eggs in the supermarket here

Fixed. :downs:
I am being honest about this. I went to Queensland in the holidays and we bought 2 dozen eggs. The guy said they are all double yolkers and we didn't believe him til it came to boxing day breakfast.... They were all double yolkers but they are just eggs so we didn't think it was that special for a newspaper...
Sorry for this, but pics or it didn't happen
