but would be overseeing as a producer this time
FFF. Bad film already.
The fourth film needs to go back to the roots of the books, which is essentially, Jeff Goldblum being proven right - over and over. Something looks happy and jolly but a series of perfect coincidences send it tumbling down. It also needs to be scary, and we've got to actually care about the characters.
I still have the first one on VHS somewhere. I remember watching it and not understanding the plot as a kid.
Who cares? The Rex isn't god, something WILL kill him. Personally, I enjoyed watching the Rex getting its ass kicked.
I give no shit, I love the Rex. Favorite Dinosaur, probably because Jurassic Park was the first movie I ever saw.
And then there's the purely scientific reasons behind it, which, if I'm not mistaken, lead to the Rex winning.
Guys, I'm kidding, I didn't actually hate Jurassic Park 3 and definitely not because of that stupid mother fucking scene that I actually thoroughly enjoyed.
Jurassic Park 3 was terrible, why make another?
Jurassic Park 3 was terrible, why make another?
To fix what they fucked up, obviously.
Spielberg has a good head on his shoulders, I just wished he used it
When the fuck did Crichton write another Jurassic Park?
The Spinosaurus in JP3 was actually pretty damn terrifying. Its roar still makes me wet my pants.
Let's just hope Spielberg won't fuck it up.

It took me 15 years to recognise the plot beyond "Holy shit this is awesome there are dinosaurs and stuff"

I'm kind of okay with this and find it a bit of a shame. I'm okay with it because I have a glimmer of hope it'll be a good film, but I find it a shame because they said they wouldn't make another film after Crichton's death.
I hope he writes something awesome, at least he has the time to think up about something clever.
I didn't realize so many people hated JP3. Personally, JP is one of the only movie series I can think of where I have enjoyed all the movies.

in a nutshell:
Basically the spinosaurus was probably a fish eater, and the T-rex is a badass with a huge fuck off jaw muscles.

There's not much actually wrong with JP3 aside from a few annoying tics.
People are just dumb. What you mean this film isn't as good as something directed by one of the greatest directors of modern cinema?? No fucking way!
Ok Spielberg, bring back the actors, feel and animatronic dinosaurs from the first one and we wont set a pack of raptors on you, deal?
It won't be. Spielberg always makes good stuff.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was terrible and he co-directed that. Maybe it was just Lucas though.

1 bad film in comparison to fuckloads of greatness
I enjoyed most of Spielberg's "bad" movies :(
They were, 1 and 2 I thought were amazing, 3 is arguable, but I still liked it, Jurassic Park just has an amazing feel because it's iconic for dinosaurs, and very nostalgia inducing in many teenage boys, and it's one of the only series of movies that features dinosaurs as a gigantic plot thing. I personally can't wait for IV, more dinosaurs the better
I agree. The only problem with 3 was that ending.
TA-DA! The entire armed forces is on the beach!
Who cares? The Rex isn't god, something WILL kill him. Personally, I enjoyed watching the Rex getting its ass kicked.
I was really happy when the T-rex got his ass kicked because he killed the poor Raptors on the end of the first movie :(

I preferred having the T-rex kill the raptors, because that makes much more sense.
I preferred having the T-rex kill the raptors, because that makes much more sense.
Yeah, raptors trying to kill T-Rex is like a mouse trying to kill a dog.
Hopefully two things happen: They have a better director than they got for Jp3, and they go the route of the Lost World and have lots of CGI. I don't think CGI is great for everything, but I believe for JP its a must. The animatronics, which mostly appeared in the first and third film, were incredibly fake and took a lot out of the films.
Some films are good with them (John Carpenter's The Thing would be horrible with all CGI and no puppets/animatronics), but JP does it best when it sticks to CGI.
I loved the animatronics.
It was only a one hit wonder.
Just like Alien, The Godfather, Terminator, Toy Story, Batman and Star Wars.
All One hit wonders just like Jurassic Park.
:downs:
JP IV better be good. All I want is more action sequences between the dinosaurs.
It was only a one hit wonder.
JP2: The lost world
critically acclaimed and "the film ended up grossing $618,638,999 worldwide,[16] becoming the second highest grossing film of 1997 behind Titanic."
Yeah so totally only a one hit wonder.
You're kind of dumb hth.
It was only a one hit wonder.
That was one of the dumbest things I've ever read.

I don't know about Alien, really... I loved the first 2 Alien movies; the second is my favorite movie ever. I thought Alien 3 was ok, though most people seemed to dislike it.
After that though... Resurrection is my LEAST favorite movie ever (And again , I don't think most people were too fond of it.), and then of course there were the AVP films...
Note how I used :downs:
That would probably mean that is a joke or sarcasm.

The Spanish makes the horror real, and what I most fear will happen to Jurassic Park.
What the fuck.
Also, I'm pretty excited, I trust that this will be a fresher movie than 2-3 because it's been this long, so hopefully it will only do this movie better.
