Metro 2033 is my all-time favourite game. If anything happens to Last Light I'm going to crack skulls.
I'm curious what will happen to Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium. Was kinda looking forward for that.
I hope Relic can find another publisher. I don't want Activision or EA to get their hands on CoH or DoW.
Or Ubisoft. I especially don't want Ubisoft. Given how Relic is PC focused and Ubisoft has made a point to be massive dicks to PC gamers over the past few years it would be a fucking train wreck.
I'm curious what will happen to Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium
Scrapped probably. It already got scaled back from an MMO to a single player (maybe with co-op? I can't remember) game. Given that details and media were sparse enough already I'd say that they never had much faith in it to start with, now with all this going on I reckon it's either on hold or has been quietly axed. But I hope I'm wrong to assume that, I really do.
Or Ubisoft. I especially don't want Ubisoft.
Frankly the only reason why they even have been "massive dicks" is because of DRM and it's not that bad anymore.
I know this might be bad to say, but at this point they need to release CoH 2 at its original release date. People will understand if they explain the ramifications of it, they need the cash. Just release it a little early, and polish it with regular updates. That way they can get the influx of cash they need to cover debts and we can keep them alive.
What happens to Metro and CoH if they go under?
I remember somebody saying that Metro isn't directly "owned" in a regular sense, I think they just get cut off money wise and retain complete control over everything (like they already did)
Metro last light better come out before they go bankrupt.
Frankly the only reason why they even have been "massive dicks" is because of DRM and it's not that bad anymore.
Their general attitude towards PC gamers has been awful too "Oh you don't like our DRM? You must be a pirating piece of shit then" or how about those times when they claimed that a game wouldn't have DRM but it turned out they had totally lied? That was fun. Plus a lot of their games were poorly optimized / not optimized at all, sometimes to the point where the only graphics option even available has been the resolution, although you could perhaps argue that this one wasn't entirely Ubisoft's fault.
Damn.. I wanted DoW3... I have no doubt that we'll till get Last Light, but I wanted another warhammer 40k RTS that did things right. I liked DoW2 for the campaign and all, but for the actual gameplay, they went the wrong direction. Shrinking the game to small scale is the opposite of what they should've done. WH40k is all about giant epic scale. I wanted to see hundreds of space marines fighting hordes of orks! Something like Total Warhammer 40k.
Zynga (ZNGA) which has said it wants to enter 'hardcore gaming
Ha. Haha. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH NO.
certainly better than say, EA ubisoft's pretty good aside from DRM
They just dropped their always on DRM for forever so now they're just pretty good.
Didn't ubisoft basically say PC games are dead and 95% are pirated? I would hate if they owned COH2
Aw, shit. Goodbye THQ. You'll always be remembered. Namely for this gold nugget:
http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/13/ubisoft-shows-interest-in-thq-assets/ don't even try fucking ubisoft
Their general attitude towards PC gamers has been awful too "Oh you don't like our DRM? Ubisoft single handedly killed the Silent Hunter series. They made the newest one an online browser game.
Oh god that would be horrible dubstep tacticool space marines you'll have a chainsword but your rambo knife will do far more damage
assuming the rambo knife is a power weapon, that'll make sense
Oh god that would be horrible dubstep tacticool space marines you'll have a chainsword but your rambo knife will do far more damage and that's the only melee weapon you can throw
Monomolecular Edge bitches!
Please don't go THQ Please don't, I like CoH, hell, I like most of your games. Don't go

From Dust was my very last straw with Ubisoft. They promised no DRM, then it comes out with DRM and they deleted all posts on their forum of the Community Manager confirming there would be none. They expected everyone to be ok with their shitty "sweep under the rug" antic. I think they eventually patched it out, but it was of course a shit PC port. I really liked the concept but I could never play it because I got mad at several things. Mainly the game taking control of itself if you left the mouse idle for like 5 seconds, not being able to use your mouse and keyboard at the same time if you were using WASD, as well as the FPS being capped at 30. I really don't get why this is happening to THQ, they've always been good. Really unfortunate.
Oh great, so the only publisher who publishes decent RTS's that isn't blizzard is about to go under. Bye, bye RTS gaming, I knew ye well.
Planetary Annihilation will come though
Hopefully, in the long run, this'll all turn out fine. Poor THQ :(

And people blaming ubisoft for the port, it's not the publishers fault :v: it's the developers fault that a port sucks :v:

Is anyone seriously surprised by this. They would have had much more success if they fired all of their marketing team and whoever manages DLC and replaced them with people who knew how to do their job.
Also maybe if they hadn't taken away one of the defining features of Red Faction to turn it into a supremely linear shooter.
Also maybe if they hadn't taken away one of the defining features of Red Faction to turn it into a supremely linear shooter.
The wonderful success that was uDraw was killing the company before that happened
this is for making those terrible spongebob games They were TOUCH SCREEN ONLY AND DIFFICULT
If valve could be the publisher....

Who needs publishers? Use Steam :v:
