• THQ is on the verge of bankruptcy

God, if this does happen, I hope somebody good picks up Relic. Maybe someone who can return Dawn of War to the style of the first games.
Who needs publishers? Use Steam :v:
Unfortunately they still sell massive amounts of most of their games on consoles, and Steam has no power in that domain. But for things like CoH, that's a good idea.
I hope 2K swoops in before Ubisoft can DRM it up. Because 2K is cool and publishes cool games.
I hope 2K swoops in before Ubisoft can DRM it up. I love THQ, but the people in charge have no understanding on how to run the company.
Just bought Darksiders 2, C'mon THQ!
First AMD now this, fuck
I hope Games Workshop buys Relic, not sure who would be best suited for 4A Games or Volition.
Buy them Square Enix.
If THQ goes bankrupt STALKER and Metro will go down the drain.
I hope Games Workshop buys Relic, not sure who would be best suited for 4A Games or Volition.
I can see Games Workshop buying Relic because of how well they work together but I can also see Stardock or Eidos trying to get in.
If THQ goes bankrupt STALKER, Metro, and SupCom will go down the drain!
GSC and THQ no longer are together, the only THQ published STALKER game was Shadow of Chernobyl.
certainly better than say, EA
you can say that about almost every single company in the entire industry it means nothing
GSC and THQ no longer are together, the only THQ published STALKER game was Shadow of Chernobyl.
Oh, okay but what about Gas Powered Games (Supreme Commander 1-2) and 4A games (Metro)? I'm really worried about those two companies!
http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/13/ubisoft-shows-interest-in-thq-assets/ Ubisoft is showing interest.
If Metro and CoH 2 get acquired by either EA, Activision, or Ubisoft chaos would ensue.
I hope Games Workshop buys Relic
It would make the most sense. And as long as they don't let Matt Ward or C.S. fucking Goto write anything, it'd work pretty well. Maybe Dan Abnett would like to write a video game.
Make relic a subsidiary of valve, make relic a subsidiary of valve, make relic a subsidiary of valve... Also Homeworld 3 plz.
If ubisoft or 2k got them I would be alright with that, ubisoft ditched their always online DRM thing in favour for a one time activation so they're in my good books
Ugh this is so upsetting. they're really one of the few great companies left too. I guess this is what happens when your advertising is nonexistent.
come on THQ, you guys need more Saints Row DLC obviously!
I'd rather them die out now than stay alive barely on the verge of bankruptcy and release shitty games.
Also maybe if they hadn't taken away one of the defining features of Red Faction to turn it into a supremely linear shooter.
Guerrilla was the only game in the series that was open-world. Non-linearity is hardly a defining feature of the series.
Guerrilla was the only game in the series that was open-world. Non-linearity is hardly a defining feature of the series.
It always irks me when people say that. But they do sort of have a point. RFG really set its self up to be the first in a new wave of Red Faction games with this big, open gameplay that it brought to the table. Then they went and shat out RFA. While being linear wasn't RFAs problem, it did kill the franchise with it's terribleness.
Garry bail out thq pls thx
I hope Relic can find another publisher. I don't want Activision or EA to get their hands on CoH or DoW.
To be honest CoH 2 was already heading down the fucking path of "preorder exclusive day 1 custom mapped toilet paper" If they end up in EA's hands it'll become like Generals 2, a.k.a. "we released tons of DLC with a game-ish thing attached to it" [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] I miss the olden golden days of RTS gaming. At least I can still play supreme commander FA via it's amazing community
Ah fuck, but they were doing 40k games so well.
Please THQ, don't go. I love the Metro games and CoH is really fun (even if I prefer MoW 'cuz realism)
I really hope someone buys Relic / Homeworld and does something with it. Imagine a Homeworld 3. Or an Eve-like Homeworld Online. I'm wet. I believe Relic and their games are the most valuable THQ asset.
Ah fuck, but they were doing 40k games so well.
Hahaha. Soulstorm was terrible, DoW 2 was awful. DoW 2's only saving grace was the Last Stand multiplayer.
Hahaha. Soulstorm was terrible, DoW 2 was awful. DoW 2's only saving grace was the Last Stand multiplayer.
except DoW2 wasn't awful haven't gotten around to playing soulstorm
except DoW2 wasn't awful haven't gotten around to playing soulstorm
soulstorm is fine, people overreacted it has some shitty balance changes but it's still fun if you install the codex mod or something dark crusade was also good, don't get me wrong also DoW II was fun but not a proper DoW game, it should've gone under a different 40k title imo
Don't stop breathing THQ I need you in my life Never let the Saints die
