Republicans are like an eldritch cult trying to summon forth the great old ones.
Two weeks ago my father didn't know what to think about net neutrality. Yesterday he was adamantly against it, calling it too much regulation stifling the free market. I can practically see the propaganda working.
Republicans are like an eldritch cult trying to summon forth the great old ones.
don't insult the great old ones like that
I don’t think republican ideology can be redeemed at this point, it needs to be abandoned before this country keels over
Conservatism as an ideology and Republicans as a party both need to cease to exist. Conservatism's only purpose is to prevent the natural evolution of a political system, and Republican's have proven themselves too many times that their party cannot be sustained in a modern political environment without destroying everything else. Conservative ideology is the Spontaneous Generation of politics. What we are seeing now is it's goal after years of teaching and breeding ignorance into the children, total information control. With ignorance getting it's foot in the door, Conservatives hope this will eventually give them total physical control over the whole nation. Unfortunately, there is little we can do aside from out-breeding them or hoping information will get to them when their human nature decides to convince them to seek the information. Idiocracy is not an accurate comparison at all, this isn't being lazy, this is deliberate sabotage of generations of Americans, all for power. There is no comparison for what they do to our nation.
What is with you guys thinking that simply removing the republican party will make ideological problems just melt away. Can it even be possible to make the republican party not exist? People are getting desperate, the political parties may of painted the Americans into a corner, while social and economic problems are keeping them polarized. Out-breeding them, hoping information will fix the problem? The US is going to breed out the poverty, the wealth gap, the propaganda, the geographic difference, the problems of diversity? There is also another problem, the internet is a overwhelming sea of information with places of truth surrounded by expanses of false information, half-truths, lies, and rumors. The good thing is every person thinks differently, the bad thing is every person thinks differently. People understand knowledge with a wide range of awarenesses and perceptions. We are progressing so quickly that people who progress under their own speed are left in the dust.
Honestly I don't even really hate conservatism. In itself, conservatism doesn't actually define much and it depends on the location and people. Parties like the CDU, Høyre, VVD, etc., even if you don't find them ideal, are at least sensible and don't tend to actively revolt against science and logic. With our republican party though, the only situation in which you can reasonably vote for them is if you are a single-issue voter on something like abortion. And even in that case, reasonable doesn't really mean smart or empathetic, just that you know what you want and are actually voting in favor of it. If you vote for the republicans for say, economic reasons, you're pretty much out of your mind.
Fake News The Democrats increased it more The world respects us now, see China and North Korea Job killing regulations slashed BUT WALL STREET Caused by Obamacare Support our troops! Obamas fault
Are most republicans braindead?
Yes. Yeah good luck. I've tried having this discussion with family members in the past and they just bypass it completely to talk about how bad Clinton is and how Obama's birth certificate is doctored.
I'll be honest, I thought you were one of those hardcore supporters, up until your last comments. Unfortunately, politics has become a sports game, and those supporters are happy because "libtards are getting fuked ovr."
I believe someone also put it succinctly when they said "A Trump supporter would gladly let him shit in thier mouth if a liberal had to smell it"
At this point, its more of they would gladly let him shit in their mouths and cut their heads off, while fucking their wife/sister if it meant liberals have to see and smell it.
absolutely disgusting human pieces of shit. just goes to show that republicans are evil bastards who don't give a shit about the american people.
absolutely disgusting human pieces of shit. just goes to show that republicans are evil bastards who don't give a shit about the american people.
Republican legislators, mostly, yes. Maybe not 50 years ago, but now it's hard to view them as anything but self-interested amoral narcissists who are willing to sell out central American values so that they can enable the outright pillaging of fellow American citizens. Republicans at large, no - they are the American people. They're the ones being pillaged by the GOP. They've been misdirected through an enormous propaganda campaign that has corrupted their minds with incessant lies. Their hatred is rooted in a worldview that is predicated entirely on misinformation. They're satisfied with the direction the country is taking because they're being told, day in and day out, that everything is improving and that people respect us now. They're satisfied because the TV, or the machine-learning content delivery site, tells them that they should be satisfied, even though effectively nothing is actually improving in their livelihoods. They live in a very different universe than the rest of us, and the information they see is not even remotely the same as what we see. Republicans tore down the Fairness Doctrine. Ailes promoted Fox as the de-facto propaganda arm of the Nixon administration. Republicans used Gerrymandering to ensure the safety of their legislative seats, forcing them to only respond to challenges from the tiny, tiny minority of lunatics further to the right. At first, politicians just started picking and choosing their demographics through creative redistricting - now, we see politicians shaping their demographics through targeted disinformation and propaganda. The GOP is composed of these evil bastards - Republican voters are mostly (with many exceptions) victims of the GOP's desperate attempts to hold on to relevancy in a time when their ideology is suffocating.
