V-cuts made by first responders making the area safe so they could save lives. 60 tons of thermite charges wouldn't make neat little cuts like a dude with a plasma cutter would.
Could you explain to me why a V-cut would be necessary for the simple removal of debris? as apposed to just cutting straight through? wouldn't you save a lot on sedaline? I also think they use something called a cutter charge for making the V-cut in demos
Barbarian887, what led you to believe that 9/11 is a conspiracy? That jet fuel can't melt steel beams and all that shit? I am legitimately curious to know your thoughts process.
Why would the floors be sitting on top of one another? The floors were made from smallish, barely structural steel. Their job was to hold up office workers and their furniture. The floor was probably thin steel plates laid down on small steel A frame trusses. You're telling me that, these small A frame trusses and thin sheet metal are going to maintain their structure after an entire building comes crashing down on it? Plus, the whole floor held up by those tiny little brackets, which would be under intense heat form the fire, lost structural integrity, dropped the floors near the impact, which put added strain on the floors below them because they weren't designed to hold up tons and tons and tons of steel floor structure + heat. The rest is a failure cascade.
Not entirely hold their shape no, but I feel like there should be at least one partially recognizable "floor" of some sort at the bottom, especially the floors above the 'crush zone'. Like the hat trusses, shouldn't those have at least survived enough to be in a somewhat recognizable state? I would still like an explanation as to what destroyed the core columns.

Why are you asking about a completely irrelevant thing? What does how the floors look like matter?

And thats WITHOUT being crushed.
I would still like an explanation as to what destroyed the core columns.
THE BUILDING FALLING ON TOP OF IT.

I haven't heard anyone claim that it was one guy acting alone. kerosene, from my understanding of it cannot burn anywhere near 2750°F, which is needed for steel to melt.
Well I'd like to think I do. What's on your mind?
I would still like an explanation as to what destroyed the core columns.
I already told you but you refuse to listen.
1) Failure cascade from having already been destroyed at the area of impact, having a large amount of fireproofing blown off at the area of impact, and having an extreme amount of weight come crashing down on it from above.
A face cut looks like Face cut: | | | | |< | | V-cut: /\ | | | | Not only that, they serve different purposes. The face cut of a tree is so that it falls over, down an intended corridor. the purpose of a V-cut on a vertical column in a building is to cause the building to walk off of it's supporting beam(s). I'll watch those videos for a V-cut being made and report back.
Fucking nobody claims that, the fuel just burned hot enough to allow the steel to become flexible and structurally unstable.
people say that because there allegedly was molten steel found at the site.
people say that because there allegedly was molten steel found at the site.
Allegedly.
Jet fuel can't melt steel beams is just a meme at this point. I don't think anyone seriously claims it can.

Steel beams don't need to melt to give under pressure as explained in that youtube video with the metallurgist/forge worker showing how easily steel bends when it's hot.
Fucking nobody claims that, the fuel just burned hot enough to allow the steel to become flexible and structurally unstable.
Really?
Wow, I always thought the floors were made of beams instead of a walmart roof.
The building was designed so that the interior would have no structural columns. Which is why all the columns are in the steel core and perimeter. There's really no need to make the roof stronger, as the only thing it needs to be able to do is hold up a few tons worth of Investment Bankers, Office desks, and broken copy machines.
Really?
He WASNT saying it COULD.
Really?
OK now you're twisting my words. I never claimed that. I used that phrase to lightly mock you. Cmon dude.
Really?
Joshuadim was being facetious. Let it go.
