I've had it installed since the RTM ISO leaked in July. No complaints so far...
This post makes your avatar seem rather ironic :v:
I have to go back to Vista because ATI doesn't make drivers for Windows 7 that work with my card.
I have to go back to Vista because ATI doesn't make drivers for Windows 7 that work with my card.
Another reason that ATI sucks.
Another reason that ATI sucks.
Although admittedly at the moment they do have the best product.
Although admittedly at the moment they do have the best product.
Not really.
I get free access to the MS Development network through my college. I used the RC of Win7 and now I'm on Win7 Pro and I haven't had a single problem, In my experience with other Windows OS' this is the most stable I used since 2000 (not ME, That was a fucking terrible OS). Me was an abortion aimed at DOS purist cunts.
All my computers will have a definite switch to WIN7 once it's own first service pack releases. I liked the beta I had in the bigining of the year, I shouldn't be disapointed when I buy it.
I like Windows 7 alot, but the Drivers.. It sucks because I'm going back to Vista (Which I hated) then I have to lose everything to switch back in a month when they come out with the right drivers.

Drivers for everything should already be there.
Had Windows 7 since the beggining. Problems: 0 It's because people don't know anything about computers.
gaydows 7 insisted on creating a worthless 100mb partition on my disk. After much gnashing of teeh, I finally got rid of it. On my first try I just deleted the partition and Windows threw a fit and wouldn't boot. So I installed it at least 3 times, finally got rid of it, but it still sucks. A few times I was just sitting there looking at a web page and the whole thing just froze.

Windows 7 Ultimate Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz 2.50GHz 4.00GB 64-Bit Operating System Radeon HD 4870 I have drivers for it, and I installed the most recent ones. But they lack the Windows 7 4870 drivers, they've only made them for 4800 and 4890. The computer works, but I can't play ANY games. The display drivers stop responding and crash my game/restart the computer/BSOD on me. ArmA, ArmA 2, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, STALKER: Clear Sky, Garrysmod etc.
Oh boy... 100MB, that's so much space. Wait...
I only let Windows on my 80gb drive. :smug: I don't allow Windows to touch my nice hard drives.
This post makes your avatar seem rather ironic :v:
Well, you can't download a car. Trust me, I've tried.
Oh god, a 100mb partition, what will you do?
Bitch slap gaydows until it gives my hard drive space back.
I only let Windows on my 80gb drive. :smug: I don't allow Windows to touch my nice hard drives.
80GB is still plenty. Nice HDD's? What are you talking about... If you hate Windows, don't use it. [editline]04:44PM[/editline]
Bitch slap gaydows until it gives my hard drive space back.
You're bitching over 100MB wow.
80GB is still plenty. Nice HDD's? What are you talking about...
Got a 250gb, 320gb, and a 500gb with Linux on them.
Got a 250gb, 320gb, and a 500gb with Linux on them.
So use that if Windows is so homosexual as you state.
Got a 250gb, 320gb, and a 500gb with Linux on them.
so you have a 250gb, a 320gb, and a 500gb deadweight
so you have a 250gb, a 320gb, and a 500gb deadweight
That's what he said.
Then your doing it wrong.... and If you notice it actually says HD4800 series drivers which includes the HD4870 (I know this because it's the same card I have)
Agreed, my 4850 works fine in 7.
-snip original- I read wrong lol But you don't need that much room for linux unless it's a file server/dedicated server/web server.
Why would you need that much hard drive space for Linux unless your running a file server/web server/dedicated server or keeping a fuck ton of music and films on there? Oh and why do you have 3 differant copies of linux on 3 different HDD's?
Yeah, I mean he's complaining about a measly 100MB and he has all that...
Yeah, I mean he's complaining about a measly 100MB and he has all that...
Don't you need to make a 100mb swap partition on linux anyway?
Don't you need to make a 100mb swap partition on linux anyway?
Thought that was only recommended
