Nintendo has already mastered memes. Now they're just getting stronger.

Facebook collects data, everyone freaks the fuck out.
Miitomo doesn't track your fucking browser history, it tracks what kind of bread you like.
if i wanted to i could find your name, city, workplace, and hobbies right now
it's not that big of a deal
The fact that you can do that IS a big deal, people are letting their info leak. The only reason you'd be able to do that is because other sites have already collected his data and are essentially leaking it
Also, you probably couldn't do all of those things, for the record. Not with any amount of certainty.

It's not really leaking anything, he's leaking it.
When you go to "edit profile" and add where you work and where you studied and shit, that's on you.
For example, I leave my Steam account open for comments, viewing, and etc, but I keep my inventory private because spambots annoy the fuck out of me. I keep the information I feel it's necessary to keep private private.

I lied, I checked and it turns out I have comments set to friends only, and thinking back on it that was because of the spambots too iirc.

Facebook's default settings leak data like crazy and there are no warnings at all about it.

i'm really tempted to prove that i can do it with 99.9% certainty but i'm not gonna reveal his info for kicks
if he lets me PM him his info i'll do it

I just abuse the block button and rename all my valuable TF2 items to "No, I'm Not Selling This"
i can keep my Steam profile full-public so sites like Dotabuff and SteamRep work but without the constant harassment, it's a good system
Not really surprised tbh. Some of the Miitomo questions almost make it sound like a phishing scam.
"What's your favorite food?" "What's your mother's maiden name?" "What's your social security number?"
