Why can't every state join the rhode of progress
Because not every state has the same mind set?
Except religion is not the sole reason why it hasn't been passed on a federal level. People like to argue that the government has no place in defining what marriage is (stupid "states' rights and all that fuckassery). I'm sure there's other non-religious reasons, but that's the one I'm hearing a lot.
Therein lies the problem. Who are the people to define marriage as well? When that question is asked, people usually return to "religion" as an excuse, and the circle of arguments continues.
My state did something right :v:
Hey cool, my neighbor state has gay marriage now also! (CT)
Is this the first state to do so? Could homosexuals from all over America now legally get married in Rhode Island or would their residence have to be there?
I read the title as legalizes marijuana at first. Huh.
You're so stoned you can't even read straight... Or is it "read gay"?
