I'm still thinking the $300 estimate is going to be spot on. With a tegra and such + the dock and controllers $300-350 seems pretty fair.
$300 would be a grand way to get me to become an early adopter. Assuming the system doesn't spontaneously blow up in your hands or some shit like that.

Nah it won't explode, It's Japanese, not Korean :v:
She basically keeps blacklisting herself from companies, just to get us info. Not sure why people hate her for it, it's a dumb move, but it sucks for her and the companies, we're the people who benefit from it.
Lol. For people like laura blacklists dont matter anyway, she'll get the games on release. And her patreon basically nullifies the need to post reviews right when embargo breaks. Her leaking info wont hurt her.

Great, so the only people it hurts are the companies who want to release info at specific times for maximum market impact. Why should I hate her for that?
Yep. A friend of mine is a manager at GameStop. They've been out of stock of 3DS/2DS systems since pretty much Black Friday.
I've been eyeing them so I can catch up on the latest Pokemon game but yup, have never found one in stock.
Go over to eBay, though, and:

Nintendo has created a market that 100% caters to the hardware equivalent of scalpers.
The Switch looks cool but I won't hold my breath until I can get my hands on one (for a price equal to or less than MSRP).

My Limited Edition 3DS of Pokemon is also gaining value, though i still play on it daily

Limited editions are a bit different though. I sort of cherrypicked the Galaxy Style, but even the normal New 3DS XL floods eBay at exorbitantly high prices. For example:

If you can't even find a plain old, current iteration 3DS XL without having to spend extra $$ at eBay, something is horribly wrong. Hell, the $350 "bundle" isn't even the New 3DS XL. It's the old one without the C-stick and bundled with a $30 game. That's a $120 at best markup.
Nintendo sucks at keeping up with demand.
It also:
- isn't portable
- doesn't have a touch screen
- doesn't have a battery
- is twice as big
Nvidia Shield K1
slightly older tegra tho, so the newer chip in the switch is gonna probably be more powerful and more energy efficient. can do 4k video easily tho.

Was more of a general question than hating on you mate, dw.
can't wait for nintendo to make it super cheap, but produce approximately 7 of them so there's no supply and scalpers can charge 8 thousand dollars for one
[...] online retailer GameSeek priced the home gaming system at £198.50 with a pre-order guarantee [...]
Congratulations to the people who jumped on that offer
GameSeek still lists it at this price, but the system is currently sold out there so I doubt it will become available again for significantly less than £279.99.
