North Korea placed under martial law as final preparations begin for nuclear test

This sounds just like the kind of news announcement that happens in the background of a spy movie.
Have you been following the news Bond?

"... has gone under martial law. Korea has declared that it will begin nuclear testing on ..."

As it turns out, Korea has been doing a bit more than 'testing'. Our intelligence says...
Mission accomplished!

Dear leader will be proud.
North Korea should never ever be underestimated, even if they would lose the war due to US intervention, they would cause UNTHINKABLE damage, when i say that they would pillage Seoul and whole South Korea before US even arrives. NATO might intervene, but maybe the rest of them will stay out. Imagine if nobody even intervened...
They had international support?
Food aid, medical relief, the multiple attempts at providing them with light-water reactors to address their energy concerns; yeah they've had support, on both sides of the card.

If anyone of them does intervene it will be an absolute blood bath for sure.
If someone takes over the NK government, it would be beneficial for everyone living in NK.
Not if it's a democratic goverment. China probably fits best for that job.
That's the problem with nuclear warfare, though. You don't need to go to war in the traditional sense. Warheads could be fired at any time and the basis of most tactics is that "You'll do this or we won't fire these highly dangerous, unstoppable missiles at you." If he wanted to start a war, he'd start it with an unwarned strike to promote fear. Even one warhead going off will have devastating effects across the globe.
Nuclear missiles are not unstoppable at all (NK's missiles in particular, I'd wager), and a nuclear detonation in itself will not result in devastation on an actually global scale.
What people might be forgetting is that as much as we know NK will be cautious about starting a war it'll probably lose, NK knows that the international community will also refrain from escalating the conflict for the longest possible.

Being born in a sort-of-repressive socialist state I can tell you that their main fear is/should be that their soldiers run the fuck away as soon as they are out of the "everyone spies on everyone" system.
Now guess what would happen if they "invaded" SK, one of the richest countries in the world?

Spy parade
Gentlemen...
Can you hear that? It's the sound of an counter strike
Can you hear that? It's the sound of an counter strike
Really? It sounds more like imminent failure.
Really? It sounds more like imminent failure.
I'm not so sure this time, I'm axious to hear about the results.
I pray to god that its a failure.
It's only a test, they've done them before.
I just hope they film it this time so I can watch more nuke footage.

The US already has troops on the border, they'd never make it into SK in the first place.
for north korea
Those tens of thousands of artillery guns aiming at the capital of South aren't going to give easy time for south koreans either.
The US already has troops on the border, they'd never make it into SK in the first place.
They have a few million more soldiers to throw at the border than we have to stop them.
Well this is genuinely bloody terrifying.

It's more like the other way around, the scrawny kid is the bully and thinks he can shove the bigger kids around.
The day the regime in NK falls is the day everyone sighs a sigh of relief. NK is literally a timebomb waiting to go off at any second. They've made hundreds of bluffs but one of these times it won't be a fake.
I don't want the straw that breaks the camel's back to be a nuclear strike
NK is literally a timebomb waiting to go off at any second.
Then Iran must be a grenade without a pin in a baby's hand.
Crazy bastards.
To be honest though, I don't think anything will happen unless they actually aim it south, then Seoul's MDS's will kick in and shit will hit the fan.
We all know that isn't going to happen as we humans always just like making the most extreme things out of a given situation, it's in our nature.
Wasn't North Korea already in a permanent state of martial law?
Wasn't North Korea already in a permanent state of martial law?
Bro, that's exactly what I was thinking. I guess they like "Don't breath air", or something along those lines. I mean what more can they do being under martial law x2?
Wasn't North Korea already in a permanent state of martial law?
This is SUPER MARITAL LAW
Wasn't North Korea already in a permanent state of martial law?
Not really
Then Iran must be a grenade without a pin in a baby's hand.
North Korea is incomparable to iran.
I want to see the day when the nation is freed, but then again im so interested and curious about them and how they run, its very interesting yet pretty scary
I'll be so happy when it goes off before their ready.
This is like when the scrawniest kid in your grade tries to take on the school bully single handedly
but then at the flag pole he pulls out a grenade and kills them both
The fuck is wrong with North Korea? Can't they just pipe the fuck down and act like normal people for once.
