I'd prefer an explanation of how this will happen. The last depression was caused by people scared of a recession selling off their stocks causing shit to plummet. I'd think abolishing the federal reserve would do the opposite.
if the federal reserve had jumped in to provide critical liquidity to the banks the great depression would have been avoided. plus increasing spending and trying to boost consumer confidence would have helped too abolishing the federal reserve would leave America without a central bank - at which point it would be more or less unable to manage the economy when shit does actually hit the fan
Bernie supporters who now support Johnson make no sense because The only major thing they have in common is they both want legal weed and that's not even a big issue
- Pro-choice - Pro same sex marriage - Pro Planned Parenthood - Non-interventionist - Pro refugee - Against torture - Against Drone strikes (one positive over Sanders) - Against illegal government spying - Against Patriot Act - Against death penalty - Pro Nuclear (another positive over Sanders) - Supports major electoral reform - Supports decriminalizing drug use, and retroactively reducing sentences - Supports cutting our military budget - Wants to end corporate welfare - Honest - Likeable - Not Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump He's definitely not my first pick, and his views on education and healthcare are contrary to mine. Foreign policy is my top issue, and he's much closer to Sanders than Clinton or Trump, who are both hawks. Followed by electoral reform, and honesty. Johnson scores better on the issues that matter most to me, and he doesn't have a warrant out for his arrest.
^My thoughts. I don't agree with everything Johnson says, and I would say that generally speaking, my views align better with Jill Stein or even Hillary Clinton, but one is crazy, and the other is corrupt and inconsistent.
Jill Stein [...] is crazy
How so? There's been a lot of FUD going around painting her as some kind of anti-vax anti-science wackadoodle, and I can probably refute most of it. I'll start with the most common one: She's not anti-vax. She just has issues phrasing things outside of Twitter's 140 character limit. Here's a better version of what she's been trying to say the whole time: Basically, she's complaining about the FDA, not vaccines themselves. This would result in a change of staff at the FDA, maybe a recall on some recently released medications for double-checking, and then all would be well again. It might even shut some of those anti-vaxxers up, who knows. (She is in fact against nuclear power, and I don't get that myself, but exactly where my power comes from is at the bottom of my issue list so long as it's not fossil fuels)

I was willing to give Stein the benefit of the doubt on a lot of things, but I can't see why she would pick Baraka. Changing up the people running the FDA isn't necessarily a good thing either. Sure, there's always some concern when people jump from pharma companies, join the FDA, and then jump back into pharma companies, but there are honest folk with valuable insights within the pharmaceutical industry that want to improve the system as well. People were concerned with how Tom Wheeler would handle his position in the FCC given his ties to cable companies, but he's been absolutely level headed and consumer first thus far. Industry experience doesn't preclude someone from putting the needs of the nation above industry.
Her previous statement and the ambiguous nature of her reply (how do drug companies control the FDA, and what does that have to do with vaccines?) give me the impression that Stein might truly not have an issue at all about vaccinations, but someone in the Green Party or a key donator to her cause might be an anti-vaxxer. She just seems to waffle on an issue where they is very little practical wiggle room given the facts. But while Stein might not be crazy, her VP choice is absolute batshit.

They're definitively small enough right now that it might be possible to push out anti-science special interests. I seriously doubt there would be enough support in Indiana to get sensible Greens off the ground here though.
He's definitely not my first pick, and his views on education and healthcare are contrary to mine.
Decent list. A few of the points Clinton holds as well but he does seem more likeable and honest, and favors a more insular foreign policy. Definitely preferable to Trump. How do you feel about climate change? It's a huge issue for me personally and is one reason I will never vote Trump and find it very hard to support a Libertarian candidate.
