True, but he has a solution for that (if you can bother to read and understand it). The prototype as it stands still has some pretty serious flaws however. Looking forward to see what he manages to do with it.
And then somebody gonna make hardware cheat which will plug between the mouse and the hardware anti-cheat and just adjust the hardware mouse output itself. If there's enough money to attempt implementing hardware anti-cheat, there's obviously enough money to implement hardware cheats as well. Hell, you could just modify the mouse or keyboard, add a wireless receiver into it. Compact, impossible to detect unless you pick the mouse/keyboard apart. What are you going to do about that?

What's the point of this? In any of the major tournaments (Dreamhack, ESL One, etc) you don't bring your own computer. You're given one at the scene, so why aren't they doing this as well? Who cares if they are cheating at home? As long as the computers provided have had bunch of security put up to prevent them from getting cheats on those they will only hurt themselves if they rely on cheats while training.
or just provide locked down linux machines that basically only runs CS:GO with that persons config through steam cloud for tourneys
The problem is IIRC with the last round of pro VACs the cheat worked through the workshop. For big LANs now they have to tell the organisers what their config is, ask for drivers and for mice and they get given fresh stuff at LAN. The problem here is this is an online league so this is how they will check for cheats. Tbh I think when the prize pool is $275k, they can justify this.
Supply players with hardware, problem solved.
People will complain that they are using things they aren't familiar with or used too, and a lot of pro players get top of the line equipment straight from their sponsers specifically for tournaments. I think supplying hardware is the best option but there's still more to it than that.
League the game is a joke. So is the playerbase. So are the tournaments.
