Still, at least he's admitted this and gotten it off his Kanye Chest.

I guess on stage he felt Kanye Stressed
I don't get all the Kanye hate.
What has he actually done to warrant it?
Sure he has a huge ego and can act like a dick, but whatever that's nothing.
Because it's cool to hate on him and everyone does it. See the latest Taylor Swift incident, she's revealed to be a total snake in the grass yet no one says anything. Kanye's always going to be the 'bad guy'.

Kanye's optimism and unwavering stance against self-deprecation I think is really admirable. He's the least ironic person I know of in popular art atm and that really speaks to me when there's so much double-entendre and hip disassociative irony in people. No one is allowed to be proud or happy because it's uncool to be and Kanye tries to love himself in ways a lot of people feel ashamed and scared to try themselves.
When I hear people hate (and I mean hate, not just dislike) Kanye I cannot help but see that they're just following whatever is trendy to be outraged at (Ghostbusters, Pokemon GO, etc.). Bless your hearts you vindictive sort, you need love in your life.
kanye is just a concept. I don't know why everyone goes so overboard with what he says and does.

It'll be bad for his health if he doesn't give it a Kanye Rest.

Even as just a person or musician, I don't understand why people lose their shit when they hear he covered Bohemian Rhapsody. Is he not allowed to cover things he enjoys from artists he looks up to because someone doesn't like him?

simply put: muh queen!

Yeah, Kanye is definitely the only Hip-Hop personality who behaves recklessly and has a big ego.
I mean, c'mon guys.
simply put: muh queen!
this is so true.
Lol
Not wrong tho, he sings for money so that makes him professional.

except you can't be a professional artist.
but i would say kanye is a professional producer.

By which definition can you not be a professional artist? And producing is an art? So you kind of contradict yourself.
You can pull out websters left and right but creating art and creating commodities are different things. He can create art and then can turn it into a product. Artists don't initially create commodities, is a common argument.
Anyone who actually listens to Kanye's music doesn't think this is unexpected or unusual at all. His entire act/absurd bravado is a coping mechanism for his own insecurities. Half of his music is really harshly self-deprecating.
Seriously, if you listen to his music and learn a bit about the guy, you get a whole different picture of him. The hatred of Kanye is a meme at this point, and there's really few legitimate reasons for it - he's a stupidly talented guy who's made one of the best albums period in the last decade.

I like kanye and do think he's insanely talented but c'mon man, that's insanely subjective

for me this description of professional is not the paid aspect, but rather the competence and skill.
there are two sides to the word professional : http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/professional
And as for your comment on producing being an art, I agree but from my perspective it is also a unique skill that not many artists are strong at, yet kanye is prolific and genuinely inspired in.
I like kanye and do think he's insanely talented but c'mon man, that's insanely subjective
I purposely didn't say "the best album," because it really is subjective, but MBDTF is one of the single most critically acclaimed albums created since 2006 in any genre. I'd honestly place plenty of other albums before it, but most people agree that it's one of the single greatest hip-hop albums ever made. Subjective, sure, but when it's the eighth-highest-rated album on Metacritic (fifth since 2006), it's almost unanimously agreed to be a phenomenal album.

You don't consider him a competent and skilled rapper/lyricist? You don't have to like his stuff, and I know he can't REALLY sing, but I think it is hard to argue that the man is unskilled at rapping or writing lyrics. Sure he has some idiotic and vulgar lines, but that doesn't cancel out all of his incredible ones.

What does this even mean? Because he's now famous and his music sells that automatically makes it not art? That doesn't make any sense, by that argument countless artists from the past thousand years aren't true artists. Da Vinci sold his paintings, did commissions, Van Gogh, Bach, Beethoven, did the same. I can do this all day. I'm not trying to argue Kanye is on these guys level, it is pointless bait to compare them, but how can you tell me he is creating commodities and not art?
Again you don't have to like him, his personality, his shenanigans and drama, or his music. But it is ridiculous to try to deny his ability and influence on music.

That's not putting your ego aside at all. A non-egomaniac doesn't go into a depressive state after minor on-stage shenanigans.

You're confused here. Artists can create art as well as create commodities. Artists don't create art with the intention to sell and profit, but then they can take their art and then sell it as a commodity. It's a vague argument, but people make it.

Uhh, do you know of anyone or have you ever acted or performed on a stage before? That's literally part of the whole thing, feeling super exposed and embarassed and ashamed by dumb shit.
Hands back on the wheel, you're making reckless posts here man.
You don't consider him a competent and skilled rapper/lyricist?
I can't really comment.
It is more clear to see competence in production than to see how lyrics and rapping can have an effect on the listener.
You don't have to be the most skilled rapper to be the most effective. And since each listener will gain a different experience based on their life experiences, this isn't really an argument.

I'm not even a minor fan of the entire spectrum of hip-hop/ rap, but holy shit I can appreciate MBDTF, it's a really quite varied album and does a look of genuinely neat things musically. To the point that a lot of modern artists in this genre seem to take a sizeable chunk of their inspiration from it, to actually push and do things differently.
Kanye might play the part of an egotistical dickhead, but his contributions to music cannot be understated.

If it is your main source of income you are a professional. If you earn a 45k annual income eating frog turds wearing a batman costume then you are a professional frog shit eating batman. Doesn't matter what it is.

the aspect of the word professional I'm focusing on is:
"A person competent or skilled in a particular activity"

is english not mandatory in schools or is it just me?
he's a dick but he's also clearly fucked up
guy can hardly even admit that he has depression issues. when he was growing up the big thing in hip-hop was "if you're black and have identity/self-worth issues thats ok because gold chainz and money", which his "i'm a god and i'll make it anywhere anytime" act is a biproduct of. it's all about feeling like shit about yourself and trying to compensate for it.
or yknow hes just a dick, whichever
How is he a dick? Kanye is known to be one of the nicest people in the business.

I actually totally misread it, didn't see you said one of the best albums, my bad fam
I can't hate Kanye. The man has a statue of Char's Zaku in his home

He acts pretty childish and has an over inflated ego as can be seen by some of things he tweets or does.
