Bring back Coulson
Bring back Coulson
He didn't die.
Here we go. When it came out most of facepunch loved it. But now it's incredibly popular so inevitably we all think its overrated.
I like to think that the people that didn't love it so much just didn't say anything because the people who loved it would have just steamrolled the ones who didn't right after the movie came out.
Hope they use the Mjörn and Capt.'s Shield combo in a fight.
It's Mjölnir.
Mjölner if you're going to avoid the "Englishification"
Mjölner if you're going to avoid the "Englishification"
That doesn't apply to the comic one.
Bring back Coulson
No. Please see "The Death and Return of Superman."
No. Please see "The Death and Return of Superman."
[sp]Too late. The S.H.I.E.L.D. tv show is apparently a sequel to The Avengers, and Coulson is alive and well in it.[/sp]
Though Coulson is apparently going to be the main character in a TV show called S.H.I.E.L.D. set before the events of The Avengers. [editline]12th January 2013[/editline] are you shitting me
It's not like this is the first time Marvel's brought back characters from the dead. I really like the idea of bringing back Coulson because he's extremely likable and perfect for people who have seen the films and need someone to identify with in the show.
I'll say it again, he didn't die.

I didn't like Avengers when it came out, and my opinion didn't change a bit when I found out FP liked it. Why? Because I have my own goddamn opinions.
I fucking hate when people pull this argument out of their ass. You DO realize Facepunch isn't a hivemind, right? Because I have my own goddamn opinions.
Well he is correct in saying that the majority of Facepunch (that is to say, the majority of those sharing their opinions at the time) were very much in love with The Avengers when it came out. Now that the fervor has died down, people who didn't care for it are more comfortable with speaking up about it if they didn't do so before. Facepunch IS a hivemind in some respects, but no more than any other community. Communities generally attract like-minded people because people like hanging out with others they tend to agree with. With the exception of a few heavily controversial topics, Facepunch is usually united in agreement when issues are brought up, and dissenters will be showered in dumbs or simply berated. We're just like anywhere else, circlejerks and all. Speaking of which (and this is just a general issue), some members here need to re-learn that "dumb" is not an acceptable substitute for "disagree." Dumbs tend to discourage conversation; disagrees tend not to.
The avengers wasn't that amazing
I never even saw the movie
cant wait for antman
Avengers was like an extended Command & Conquer cutscene, one of the worst movies I have ever had the misfortune to watch. Ended up sleeping through the majority of it out of pure boredom. (This is from someone with a layman's knowledge of the characters, I guess you have to be into the comics and shit to enjoy it)
I'm not at all into comics and it's probably the best movie I saw in 2012. [editline]12th January 2013[/editline] I didn't know that Thor was a thing beforehand.
Watch the "prequels" Iron man 1 & 2, Hulk (with edward norton), Thor, captain america.
The incredible Hulk, not "The Hulk". It sort of explains why there is a degree of control in New York.
I'll say it again, he didn't die.
stabbed through the heart by Loki's spear thing, pretty sure he died
stabbed through the heart by Loki's spear thing, pretty sure he died
There is a possibility that he didn't and Fury pretended he did to get the Avengers together. Not likely, but if they need him back that's what they'll say.

Pretty sure that was even mentioned in passing in The Avengers.

The films I'm looking forward to the most are probably Guardians of the Galaxy (If they don't fuck up Rocket Raccoon) and Ant-Man. I'm guessing they'll probably introduce his character (Be it Pym or Lang) in Avengers 2 so people who don't read comics don't go "Pfft Ant-Man? That's retarded."
fuck no, it'd be nice but, death should have weight.
But then it wouldn't be such a perfect tool to manipulate the fans ! :(
But then it wouldn't be such a perfect tool to manipulate the fans ! :(
As said before, lets make a decoy of him, just an emulation. A fair one, that is believable.
Avengers was cool I liked it a lot but it didnt really stick with me very long It has a lot of really glaring flaws
As said before, lets make a decoy of him, just an emulation. A fair one, that is believable.
It doesn't work that way. Writing the story however you need it is not good writing. Revealing that a character didn't die at all in the last movie so you can have him in this one is cheap and an insult.
